Hello: ok, so maybe I am bit silly but I don't want to search through all the comments for info on this. I noticed the first day I got it on 11/18, but haven't gotten around to looking into it until today. My CD has an extra/(secret?) song not listed on the jacket contents. Daily Anthem is listed as 15 minutes 24 seconds long. However, it is only about 4 minutes then there is 8 minutes of silence and then at about the 12 minute marker ANOTHER SONG!! Don't know the name but the refrain seems to be "like a kiss on the neck" - very timely since I am reading the Twilight book series. Did anyone else notice this song and/or have any info on it? BTW - LOVE THE ENTIRE CD, love the raspy rocker VOICE - ...Ginger, RI
I just listened to "Permanent" and I don't know if I want to thank you or slug you. My mom is suffering, and I mean that in the most literal way, from ovarian cancer, which also took her beloved sister (and my beloved aunt) a year ago. I thank you for your song because it reminds me that my mom is everlasting in my heart; my love for her is sempiternal. She is in my soul and never leaving me. Of course I don't actually desire to strike you in any way, but I'm not sure how much I appreciate the reminder that yes, in fact I will feel very much all alone when there is no one to hold my hand.
Either way your song is a powerful testament to bonds that can not be broken and the covenants we make with those we love deeply, transcendently.
I wish your brother all the best, and I hope you are able to be with him as much as, or more than, possible.

My wife just bought the CD for us - excellent album! But, why does "A Daily Anthem" have about 8 minutes missing in the middle? There's a song for about 4+ minutes at the beginning and a song for the last 3+ minutes but silence in the middle.
I'm sorry that I missed buying your CD on the day it was released for I was ill. I just bought it yesterday and I must say that I am very pleased with it. Permanent is my favorite for I can relate to it. This CD will surely help me get through the many medical test I'm about to go through.

We have all awaited the debut of David's CD. Unfortunately is is completely forgettable. I hope his future endeavors are more favorable and more like the star we watched on Idol last season.
I went out on my lunch yesterday and purchased your your new CD. Listened to it when I got home and really loved the songs. They were you in every way. There was one song that affected me in a way I couldn't even have imagined it would. When I first heard it....I was distracted doing housework. Then I played it again and realized it was for your brother. I lost my father last year...very long story. Hadn't seen him in over 20 years. He lived in far away from us. My good and long time friend called me around this excct time last year telling me that our father passed away in a hospital from cancer. I was shaking. No one l knew he was ill. He told no one in his family he was ill.. He died alone. See....he had severe schizophrenia and we eventually had to leave many years ago with nothing but one trunk and 2 suitcases escaping as our lives became endangered. You want to see what we went trorugh, watch "A Beautiful Mind". Anyway, last year in the hospital with cancer he was supposedly acting more "normal" (if there is such a word) as they were pumping him with meds to keep him "sane" I suppose. Had I known he had cancer...I would have packed my bags and gone to see him. Regardless of the horrific life we had as kids...I would have been there to hold his hand. But..no one knew. Your song, Permanent, let out so many crazy emotions last night.....I played it over and over and cried so hard...I thought my head would explode. Haven't cried that hard in a long long time. Just wanted to let you know that with all my heart I appreciated very much the song you wrote and the way you sang it. It hit so down deep and helped me release pent up painful memories, guilt, and even a kind of love for a parent I hadn’t seen since I was 15....and was terrified of for many years. Thank you David. That song in particular will always be in my heart.
I was so exicited for the release of David's CD yesterday here in Michigan! I think it is great and he is truly amazing! I especially love Declaration, Light On and Permanent. I was lucky to attend the tour concert in Salt Lake City and tried to get tickets for my niece's 13th B-day to attend in Tulsa but to no avail until the day of the show but it was too late to get there for me and her, she's in Joplin, MO and I'm in Pueblo, CO. I did get her some items at the SLC show but didn't know anything about any meet and greets, so I didn't even get any behind the scenes shots. I even stayed at one of the hotels across the parking lot from the E Center, bummer for me. If this is possible that will be wonderful. We have all awaited the debut of David's CD. Unfortunately is is completely forgettable. I hope his future endeavors are more favorable and more like the star we watched on Idol last season.

I went out on my lunch yesterday and purchased your your new CD. Listened to it when I got home and really loved the songs. They were you in every way. There was one song that affected me in a way I couldn't even have imagined it would. When I first heard it....I was distracted doing housework. Then I played it again and realized it was for your brother. I lost my father last year...very long story. Hadn't seen him in over 20 years. He lived in far away from us. My good and long time friend called me around this excct time last year telling me that our father passed away in a hospital from cancer. I was shaking. No one l knew he was ill. He told no one in his family he was ill.. He died alone. See....he had severe schizophrenia and we eventually had to leave many years ago with nothing but one trunk and 2 suitcases escaping as our lives became endangered. You want to see what we went trorugh, watch "A Beautiful Mind". Anyway, last year in the hospital with cancer he was supposedly acting more "normal" (if there is such a word) as they were pumping him with meds to keep him "sane" I suppose. Had I known he had cancer...I would have packed my bags and gone to see him. Regardless of the horrific life we had as kids...I would have been there to hold his hand. But..no one knew. Your song, Permanent, let out so many crazy emotions last night.....I played it over and over and cried so hard...I thought my head would explode. Haven't cried that hard in a long long time. Just wanted to let you know that with all my heart I appreciated very much the song you wrote and the way you sang it. It hit so down deep and helped me release pent up painful memories, guilt, and even a kind of love for a parent I hadn’t seen since I was 15....and was terrified of for many years. Thank you David. That song in particular will always be in my heart.

I was so exicited for the release of David's CD yesterday here in Michigan! I think it is great and he is truly amazing! I especially love Declaration, Light On and Permanent. He is serving us proud as to why he was chosen as American Idol. Thanks David for sharing your talent with us!!!! You're the BEST!!!
New Album Finally Here!!!!!!
Hey David, Yes!!! You finally have sent us a super gift in this new album, the wait was way too long...lol! You are, as usual, awesome in every song, and your band ROCKS! Can't wait for the next one as it will be just as super. David, How does a fan request an autographed photo of you? I was lucky to attend the tour concert in Salt Lake City and tried to get tickets for my niece's 13th B-day to attend in Tulsa but to no avail until the day of the show but it was too late to get there for me and her, she's in Joplin, MO and I'm in Pueblo, CO. I did get her some items at the SLC show but didn't know anything about any meet and greets, so I didn't even get any behind the scenes shots. I even stayed at one of the hotels across the parking lot from the E Center, bummer for me. If this is possible that will be wonderful. Again, thanks for being you and for sharing your wonderful talent with the rest of us, and thank your beautiful family for letting us take over your lives as we have. God Bless and I look forward to you hitting the touring life, yet again!!!!

Great CD
I bought the CD this morning and I love every track. That has not happened in quite a few years, not since my Shinedown's Leave a Whisper and Greenday's American Idiot . Keep up the good work and PLEASE keep the manscaping down to a minimum, the scruffy look is part of your appeal. Someone should have told Daughtry that before he waxed his eyebrows! Enjoy all your success.
The glitch in my cd
Gosh I love the CD - Great Job! Of course I knew it would be awesome. Only thing is my CDdoesn't move from track 12 to track 13 - I have to manually move it. That Sucks! This is the 2nd CD that I got today - they both did it. I will just deal with it - and manually move it to my FAVORITE song.

You should totally have had to suspect your success would drop Sony/BMG to it's knees. Listening right now to your CD purchased 30 minutes ago at work. Yeah, some of the co-workers are looking in my office wondering what's up. I traditionally listen to Gavin DeGraw [another TRUE musician who writes and plays as you do]. GREAT to see you have written nearly all of your chosen tunes to place on the CD. But, Dude, what's up with the lyrics? Can't find em. CD says to check em out here man.
Keep the site up to date on your more 'intimate' settings such as local bars, etc. Keep Kankakee, IL in mind when your people set up your gigs. A much better appreciation of your fans when you can play to them in that type of setting versus a huge complex. However, we all know the huge complex is needed to keep those screaming girls [and queens (you know the mo's love you too]in check.
