Cookie Buddies?
Do you have any friends or family members that share your love for David with you?I don't,all I can say is thank god for places like this..other wise I think I would have to wonder about myself being crazy!

My sister likes David and his music too but not nearly as much as I do. She'll be singing his praises though we she hears how great his album will be!

I am forever singing David's praises to family members, friends, and co-workers but I am very careful about exactly what I say. I think that pretty much everyone is thinking that I am just very supportive of David (which I am!), not that I am as overly fond of him as I actually am!
It's great that we have places like this to go to in order to exorcise the demons, so to speak!

yes and no....I've got one of my guy friends into DC and he didn't watch Idol at all.
The DC obssession isn't really known with my friends. They know I am on a few different message boards, but other than that they have no clue.
My cousin, and my brother's fiance really like DC. I should tell them to join here. =)

I have some co-workers that like AI and really enjoyed DC this season, and one of them even went to one of the concerts, but they aren't "obsessed" the way that I am. I've been trying to hide the obsession, but it won't take long before they realize the extent. They love teasing people about their obsessions, so I'm expecting that the first time I'm gone for more than a day, I'll come back to a cubicle full of David Cook posters. Which I won't mind one single bit.

yea, right now i'm kinda alone in this in my world......but the day will come that i (or rather) david will prove me right and then they will all want to jump on the bandwagon with me,,,just watch....

Hubby became a Cook fan during the season - his first AI season - and ended up voting for him the last few weeks. I kinda do the "Cook News Update" every few days or show him Mavid videos. He's not really a huge fan, but he surprised me with tickets to the Tour. It was so sweet and we had a great great time. Neither of us had been to a Tour concert before and weren't sure if it was just that Season 7 was so outstanding or if the AI Tour is always that good - but we thought it was one of the best concerts we've seen.
I've gotten one sister and 2 sisters-in-law Cookified, though they don't follow all things DC too closely. I've never really been a dedicated fan before so this is new territory for me... but I love talking about his lyrics and performances and alllllll the interesting/fascinating things he says in interviews.
I just feel lucky to be a part of this - cause I really think he's something brand new. He's like our own Personal Rock Star - answering our emails, talking to fans for hours in the summer heat, building this awesome website for us, always sending us signs and signals that he's thinking of us, listening and responding to our requests, and opening up his heart every single night on stage. And his music is great on so many levels....
Maybe, just maybe, when he releases his album and if it get real recognition our friends and families will realize what we've known all along and we can look at them all and say, "SEEEEEEE?!?!" At least that's my Dream.
my family n friends are fans of him, but like I think people like us take things to a WHOLE nutha level hahahaha I love coming to places like this..it gives me the chance to let out my fangirlyness w/out being judged or looked at like a freak haha

Really it's my cousin that shares the Cookie love with me. She's not very computer savvy, so she doesn't spend time on line very much... although she is registered here!! A couple of my best friends requested that I make them CDs and for the most part enjoyed them, but that's about it. And also, my youngest son is starting to ask for some Axium songs by name.. so he's on his way.
Well, my mom loves him too but definitely not to the extent that I do. My sister has really really been obessed like me lately, so I am happy for that. It's too bad that none of my friends like him. That's the sad part. So I am thankful for everyone here who love him!

To be honest, my sisters and my mother love David, but they would never come to a forum or travel a far distance to see him. Not because he isn't worthy, but because that isn't their thing. I have several cousins that like him and I've pretty much brought my best friend over the "Cookie" side of things, but for the most part, my friends on David's websites are my "David" outlet.. and I love them for it!

My family and friends think I'm crazy!!! They wonder why I'm always on the internet at these David sites since the show has been over for a while. But with David there is always something new he is always trying to keep us informed. So I am really glad for places like these!!!

One of my friends didn't want him to win and couldn't get past his big head (she's crazy I know!)
but the other thinks he's hot and has a good voice though so that's awesome. She's going to come with me to his concerts, I was afraid I wouldn't have anyone to go with. But like 2 weeks ago I showed her the World I Know and she saw the light.
Oh, Thank God you people are here. My whole family thinks I'm nuts and my 16 year old daughter is mortified her mother is 'into' this guy so bad. What can I say? Looks, personality, sexuality, talent, intelligence. As Paula would say, "you've got the whole package!"

I'm in the same boat as you. Everyone I know who watched AI was a fan of his but they've been very "out of sight, out of mind" since the finale. Whenever I bring him up they kind of look at me strangely and don't get why I"m still talking about him months later.
So...yeah, I need places like this with other people who are big fans who anxiously await new music from him. Its lonely being surrounded by unCookified people!
My mother loves David Cook too. We watch his American Idol performances together all the time.
