Winner Announced! For Pretend Prize Re: Teachable Moment: Tiemann Cook Instructional Series Fan Report
*****************************************************
UPDATE DEC 10th
AND WE HAVE A WINNER! For the ridiculous made-up FAN REPORT bonus question and imaginary prize.
The great Archucookie (the Fan with the Most Daring User Name of all) has definitively and absolutely proved--based on little or made-up evidence, in the great tradition of the Absolutely Accurate Fan Report ---that Charlie Chaplin is David Cook's favorite silent film start.
See her proof!
She wins the completely fictional prize of a box of frozen taquitos!!
Also, since no one guessed the triple bonus question: "Based on no evidence at all, what is Neal Tiemman's favorite film?" I will tell you the answer: it is The Illustrated Man

Teachable Moment: Tiemann Cook Instructional Series 1
An increasing ludicrous fan report by kaydeecee
Guys, guys, I found some lost footage that was cut from the "Light On Challenge!' It's all right here!
Prequel:
Light On Lesson & Challenge
Lesson 1: Cookery
The scene opens. We see DAVID COOK and NEAL TIEMANN wearing chefs' toques and standing in a kitchen. Cook is rapidly chopping asparagus while Tiemann glumly guts a salmon.
"Hi guys! David Cook, here . . . It's been so awesome to see such a plethora of my favorite fans, frenemies, and stalkers join my website! So I've been thinking of ways to expand the fanbase even further, and I thought it would be cool to do some sort of contest with a creative learning type component! I'll do a lesson, and then you guys will each try it at home and put up videos of the results! And it will turn into a viral thing and be completely awesome!"

Thank you, thank you for this great honor. Completely fictional frozen taquitos are on the house. Being a big Ray Bradbury fan, I was pleased to hear of Dr.'s favorite film. "Don't stare at the illustrated man?" (but, we can't help it.)
More instructional/contest Davideos? How about Fan etiquette? (ANYTHING other than armpitfart performace art. Barbasol in G-flat?)

Archucookie, great job on the video. I sure hope David gets to see it. He will love it.
Archucookie, that was great! I loved how you used his "Make 'em Laugh" from HS. Just incredible.
Congratulations Archucookie, that was awesome. Too funny.

Congratulations on the win, Archucookie. Your video proof made me LOL. Some great evidence you found there!

I clicked on that proof not knowing what to expect. Thank you Archucookie for such wonderfulness. I am still laughing. This is something David and his people MUST see!

I hope that David and Neal do another instructional video. It would be nice if Andy, Joey and Kyle do one as well.
Archucookie, that was FANTASTIC!!!
Also, Kaydeecee? You're not the only one who secretly wishes for more random instructional videos. In fact: I shall wish for it not-so-secretly!

Can't believe I missed seeing Archucookie's David Cook and Charlie Chaplin creation last week. It is Cookolicious!

Great fanbase update, Kaydeecee. I must never meet Neal as I want to think of him being the image you create. Yes to more instructionals and yes to more contests.
I'm still trying to win the completely fictional box of frozen taquitos! I have found evidence to suggest it is NOT that old fashioned chick in a hat. Here's my entry.

BTW - I'm gonna "in your face" forum post my efforts.

Who else secretly wants the guys from the band to do more random instructional videos?

Morning to you too, Melissa and amaretto! Thanks for the coffee-time bump
The smiles in the whole goofball video are full of win. Cook seems to be all, "yeah, this is a bit goofy, but bear with me!" That factor of "I can totally make this work, no matter what!" is very endearing. I have a feeling based on some friends I have in Real Life, that for *his* friends, "I can totally make this work!" Dave is both endearing AND crazymaking.

Good morning kaydeecee, whoo hoo , love ya girl!
Very funny! I loved the cookery lesson. And all the references to David's winning smile.
That seems plausible! Somehow I can imagine him being amused by the Holy Hand Grenade!

Neal's favorite movie I predict is Monty Python's The Holy Grail. Why? Because it should be everybody's favorite movie and he is cool like that.

Secretly I actually want Cook and Dr --and the other band guys--to put up random vids of themselves teaching us stuff

Ewww to squid parts and poor intern Steve's innards (intern's innards. hee), but I do like all the groping that was done. Another excellent adventure.
This. Or maybe this. Or, you know, both.

Fantastically fantastic as always, KDC. And it's very difficult to decide which was my favorite, but it is hard to go wrong with completely effing up surgery, only to have Grand Master Of All Things Tiemann fix it up.
Your challenge was WAY tougher than David's, so I'm afraid I shall be forced to abstain. But I'm sure folks cleverer than I will come up with something awesome.

David Cook: My Drug and My Anti-Drug.
That was awesome. I'm not sure what my favorite of the vignettes was, but maybe my favorite moment was the Swedish design team exploding.
