I saw that David was going to be in Thackerville, which I honestly have never heard of. I saw a post from TherapyForMe and PM'd her to find out more about it. To my surprise it is right on the Texas/Oklahoma border just a straight shot down I-35, and the good news it is only 1 hour away. I drove down there to get my tickets and "scope it out". They let me go into the concert area and I sat in my seat-6 rows back on the Neal side. The stage is quite high, the venue is large with a long bar in the back. I don't know just how many people they are saying will fit into this venue but I would guesstimate that at least 1200-1500. It just depends on how much area they will leave in the back to get to the bar. There are 60-80 seats per row, then relatively deep in length. I didn't actually count but that is what it visually appeared to be. It is a nice venue and the Casino area is huge, I mean huge. Tons and Tons of slots. The concert area for those that are going is over by the hotel side, actually almost to the hotel all the way back on the North side, (left side) as you enter. You would park on the left side of the building near the last two side entrances. I am so excited to see this concert, it is almost upon us. It is going to be awesome. Another side note, This venue sits out in the middle of nowhere, all by itself. The closest restaurants, other than on site, are in Gainesville, which is close, or if you are coming from Dallas there is quite a conglomerate of restaurants all along the way, but the closer you get to Gainesville, there are only three or four on the interstate. I hope lots of you are coming to the concert so we can give David and the Band a Rip Roaring Texas/Oklahoma Welcome.
Cheers!

My sister went to David's first show in Tallahassee back in February, and I've been insanely jealous ever since that day!! I thought he would never schedule a concert close to home until my son came home from the Winstar and told me "matter of factly" that he forgot to mention he saw David Cook's poster so he must be playing there. This was five days after he'd been there, and I asked why the heck had he'd forgotten to mention this tidbit of info to his mother whom he knows is addicted to David Cook!!
Sadly, I was too late for VIP tickets, but I got the next best...the premium!! I'm am SO excited...less than a month!!!!

Anyone else on here going?
