Check out David Cook (attending Shadow Buddies Foundation 2nd Annual Golf Classic). He takes time out to chat with fans, wishes Crystal and Lee good luck on American Idol, names Matt Serletic (Matchbox Twenty, Rob Thomas, Aerosmith, etc.) as producer for sophomore album, and says they're ready to hit the studio in early June.

After raising money (his team raised $140K! Amazing!) for brain cancer research, and before running in the 13th annual Race For Hope in Washington DC on Sunday, David gave this amazing speech to inspire the runners. It was funny and smart and touching, all at the same time.
In addition to the speech, he also did a great interview with Tommy McFly where he talked about the race, his training regimen, and the support of his family. Check out videos after the jump.
