My thoughts and prayers have been with you and your family. I am deeply sorry for your loss, I hope you are taking comfort in knowing Adam is in a better place now and no longer suffering. He will be with you always. David, you are a true inspiration and a hero to many people.

So I've reserved my comment until I could think of something coherent to post. Not sure I'm at that point yet, but here goes..
I know David had his expectations as did we, and truth be told I was afraid I wouldn't like it. I am glad to see I had nothing to worry about. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this album. Every song. I can't remember the last time I could tolerate listening to a full album and actually like all of it.
The songs, the lyrics, the music. WOW. It is like an emotional roller coaster. David-where's that building you wanted us to jump off of??

Great video, I still don't get the concept of girl has fight with boy/takes off with other boy and where that fits the story of the song, and right now-it's too late to attempt to think about it!! David-great job on the 1st video-looking gorgeous as always. The band rocked it. Dr-what can I say-Impressive dude!! Couldn't see much of the other boys, but I know they are awesome!! Looking forward to itunes availability

Why I'm a Fan

I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...David Cook is awesome!!
Seriously, I have never been so vested in an entertainer before. There is something different about David-I haven't quite figured it out yet. His sense of humor, dorkiness/rockstar (sometimes at the same time!!) his humility, his generosity, his sensitivity. David is someone we can connect to, he has brought so many people together through his music. I have made some great friends this year, thanks to AI. It is like David was the missing puzzle piece, we all make sense together, David and the Word Nerds. It's hard to explain, but my life is more complete now. I consider David a friend, even though I have never met him.
David's generosity inspires me, I have never donated to charity, but this year I have made several donations to ACS in David's name. It feels good to be able to help out. And knowing that it may directly affect him and his family, gives me a sense of giving something back to David for all that he has given to us this year.
Through David I have learned to love music again, I have watched AI for several seasons now, and had some favorites, but there is so much junk music out there now that it just didn't interest me anymore. David has changed that. Week after week on AI he had me mesmerized. He could take ANY song and make it his own. Sure there were some songs that I didn't care for, but I now have a new appreciation for them. I like David's version of the songs better than the orginals.
David is an amazing songwriter. Analog Heart is amazing and is currently my favorite CD. It is something I can relate too, and his voice just makes the album soar. He is able to tell a story through his lyrics. The songs demand your attention and leave you saying WOW at the end, wanting to hear more.
David is an entertainer. Seeing him twice on the AI tour was just simply amazing. He owns the stage. David has an amazing gift in his stage presence. I would not trade seeing him on stage in his element doing what he loves for anything.
I have come to realize it's ok if we don't like every single thing David does. Don't like his song?? It's ok, you might love the next one. His versitility is one of his many gifts. I want David to have a long and successful career, but in order for that to happen, he needs criticism. He is NOT perfect, nor should we expect him to be. He is in tune with what his fans like, and needs to be aware of the dislikes too. After all, if he can't trust us to be honest with him, who can he trust?? We are a big part of how successful David will be.
There is no one more deserving of all of this than David Cook. I want all the best for him and I will do everything in my power to help make sure that happens.
To end this I just want you to know David, don't worry, you've got thousands of fans-we've got your back. You just keep on doing what you do. We will always leave a Light On for you.
