I posted this in the Billboard thread and some peeps suggested I make a blog out of it. So here it is. It's just my opinion, but I hope it helps those who are angsting about the sales/chart position of Light On vs Crush. I modified it a tad to compensate for the lack of orginal context:
I loved this! Well done.
I just like the guy. Great voice, seems to approach his craft with intelligence, confident in his abilities without being super competitive in a negative way. Usually, only the really talented people are like that. He gives me hope for the future of radio-friendly rock. It would just be great if I could turn on my radio and hear something that doesn't sound trite, boring, and completely derivative. That's not by the same 3 people, that is. I think he can pull it off.
The cuteness factor doesn't hurt either.
