I have been listening daily and my favorites keep changing - this is a sign of an incredible album! I love it!!! Can't wait for the tour, seeing these songs performed live will be amazing!

Great job.... I loved the mix of music that David put together. He has a voice that has had every age group listening.
Good Luck with this David and keep the music coming. Also, don't ever change that common guy image, it makes you along with the songs that you sing.

I'm loving the album! On every song, I have a moment of "OMG, David Cook's voice is incredible!" I think you did a great job showcasing your talent. The whole album is great, but I'm especially enjoying Declaration, Lie, Life on the Moon, Mr. Sensitive and Light On.

Missed the chat as I'm in AZ on MST, because I was up around 3am downloading the album to my iPod!
I have come to love your voice, your sound, listening to the Idol downloads all summer... and your album has that great voice, great character and unique sound... I could pick you out of an audio line-up! I was shopping on the 18th listening to my iPod and found my feet tapping and I was starting to sing along as I was learning the lyrics..... I LOVE the whole album! For now all the songs are my favs, tho I have to say Permanent makes my eyes well up. Your songs resonate with sincerity and believability.
I'm loving the pre-ordered CD which Amazon delivered on the 18th, the iTunes downloaded album (you're at #2 today), and hearing you on the radio. I'm also enjoying your performances as you promote the album... Kudos to you and the band!

I just looked at the Itunes charts.And Cook has the number one album for both overall and rock.Woohoo.Just in case anyone didnt know...

There isn't anything wrong with your cd. There is like an 8 minute gap and then at 12 minutes into the track, you will find the secret bonus track, Kiss on the Neck....

For years I have been listening to talk radio or I would push the seek button until I heard a song I liked because there was nothing out there musically that truly captured my interest. And then I saw this artist on American Idol who had this phenomenal voice. On one result show , I think It was Brooke? was voted off and she was standing there crying all alone and I wanted to the go through the TV and hug her, but I didn't have to because the artist that had this great talent showed me he had a huge heart when he went over to comfort her.

This is what makes you stand out from the rest David. I've mentioned this twice before but it's worth mentioning again. YOU SING FROM YOUR SOUL!!!! This CD invites us (your fans) to get to know you. There are no walls. And you are not afraid of sharing anything with us.

Thank you David. The radio is off. The CD is playing. And it is playing loud!! And my heart has never been happier........

Yes....I thought it was my CD Player.....there is a flaw on track #12...a long one! Going to exchange it tomorrow at HMV.

Bought the new album at WalMart. Loving it, but there is a huge 6 minute silent gap in the middle of track 12. Exchanged CD but had same problem. So, I returned the CD and am now looking for a new one. Aggh! You can see the seperate rings on the CD. Has anyone else experienced this? Obviously, this Walmart got a batch of bad ones. Now I'm looking for a perfect one.

Declaration, but the single along with the album (yes you will end up with two of them) but it will make the single eligable for the U.S. charts. it is currently #44 on itunes, we just need to get that up to the top ten, if everyone does there part, this will be easy!!

Hey, David: I haven't been able to stop listening to the CD every minute that I can, when I am not at work. And I can't decide which song is my favorite, they all are. I love Come Back to Me, Permanent, I Did it For You, Lie....Barbasol rocks. I got the downloads from itunes and the CD from Amazon. I was glad I got the CD as KOTN wasn't on itunes download. But, I miss not having the bonus track on the copy from Wal-Mart, Breathe Tonight. I hope that the bonus tracks will all be released so we can have the entire collection. Or maybe, I'll get that copy for the holidays. My husband is so jealous of the time I spend on the computer looking and reading and listening about you, but he just asked me to burn a copy for his car ride to work. So, you get through to everybody. I am 51, and haven't felt like this about an artist in such a long time, I don't remember when. Well, off to YouTube to look for videos of your performance last night at Hard Rock. I hope I am lucky enough some day to see you, maybe to even meet you and hug you. I ball my eyes out whenever I hear Permanent!!!! I can relate to it because it's how I felt when my aunt was going through her cancer treatment. There wasn't one single day that I didnt wish that it was me instead of her, or that I could take it all away for her. She passed away this October so it is a really hard time but that song just helps me heal knowing that I'm not theo nly one in the world who has felt that way about another person at one time or another!

I love this CD, the best to me is Lie (I can relate!!) . I downloaded it from iTunes at midnight Monday/Tuesday & went last night to Target & bought a copy. I am telling all my friends about it. They need to make all the bonus songs available on iTunes. I only got the hidden track (which is great) on the CD I bought at Target. #1 on iTunes overall & #1 on the Rock list - way to go. The singles are climbing on the Rock list but only Decleration is showing up on the overall chart. Way to go David, you did not disappoint your fans!!! Also, to mention Steve Perry in your thank yous, he is one of my all time favs!! Also, I too pre-ordered it on iTunes but found out that it did not go through.

I am bummed that I had to miss this yesterday. But, I am ecstatic to finally have the CD in my hands!

Wow, I bought the CD last night and seriously have not turned it off once. I fell asleep to it last night and listened all the way to work. It is absolutely the best CD! I am so glad a real true American idol won this time. I was starting to lose faith in America but never doubted your true talent. Your an amazing artist and your voice is so awesome. Keep rocking and try coming to Cincinnati, OH. You have a huge fan base here!! Love ya!!!!!!!

... because I couldn't let this gigantic day go by without saying SOMEthing. It was huge for David! (And, not to mention, all his ridiculously, slavishly devoted WNs.)

Now that I have the full album plus bonuses in my sweaty little paws, I spent all day going deeper into the songs, breathing them in, sliding into their underwater depths, trying to really see and feel what DC was trying to convey.

And now I am ... exhausted!

It's all gorgeous and passionate and layered and sad and glorious and beautiful. And listening to it all over and over totally wore me out.

Happy now, rockstar? I think that's what you wanted.

I'll write a smarter reaction to it all later. Just had to get this one last initial reaction in for Album Day, though.

I thought I had it pre-ordered a long time ago on itunes. In a panic realizing it wasn't there I tied to purchase, I kept getting an error, ahh!!!!! I quite and reopened and got it at 12:20. I just couldn't wait for the order I placed with Walmart and Amazon, how funny I have no good reason to have ordered 3...just couldn't wait. Then I was impressed tonite- the one from Walmart arrived on exactly the 18th wow-. I loved that David was the Art Director!!!!
