How exactly does one answer this question? There are so many bases to cover as to why I'm a word nerd. First I love David's music. His songs and the amazing lyrics he has written have helped me through hard times. His songs are like little pick-me-ups. Everytime I here straight ahead, I get happy. Everytime I here the truth, I'm consoled...and the list goes on. When I first saw David he was wearing a fo-hawk hairstyle and a checkered sweater vest with #36214 across the front. He sand living on a prayer and I said "That man has a voice." Well, when he sang "Hello" he HAD me. Yes, David Cook had me at hello. As my interest grew for David so did my knowledge of him. As I learned his back story my heart broke and my love for him was solidified. Through all the living distractions each week he went out on the stage and to use a sports term, left all he had out on the field. I began to mimic his courage in my every day life. David became my inspiration. He also became the deciding factor for my new unlimited texting plan. Voting, voting, voting. I voted like crazy. Every time he preformed I was deduced to tears! Songs like "The first time ever I saw your face" "Always be my baby" and especially "The world I know" had me bawling. But It's his life outside of the Idol spotlight that makes me a fan. He cares about people. On the idols tour he has taken the time to meet fans, Including me!!! (I'll post that story on my blog, it's an interesting one). And the first thing he want's to use his fame is as a platform for is philanthropy! As his time on Idol winded down I was on edge. Finale night simon all but said that Archie had won. I however wasn't going to resign David Cook to 2nd I voted like crazy that night. The full 4 hours, 2,500 votes, and that's just the text messaging! I was calling on 2 different phones as well. I even sent out a text to my contacts list with his voting numbers. I got my best from to send in 2,000 votes too!
And wow, when Ryan said your name I did everything but remain calm. I think I could have run a marathon without any break or water from the high I was on. Literally the next day at school I would randomly break out crying. But my teachers knew, and they would just say congratulations. Some even voted because of me!!!
So in conclusion I'm a fan of David Cook because he changed my life. As well, I honestly believe he saved it. His music is the only thing that can calm me down. He has become a father figure to me. I cannot wait to meet him again and this time tell him what he truly means to me.

well, damn.
I thought you'd be strong. But you gave in and I'm glad
