I'm a fan (and you should be too) because David is a genuine singer/songwriter/musician/performer, the likes of which has not been seen in a very long time. I have never had anyone's singing alone affect me so much. It hits me on an emotional level that few songs can, and helps me to get in touch. After months of regular listening, I still have to say "wow" at so many points in so many songs over the beauty of the vocals. His songwriting of the past was already amazing, and shows promise of great things to come. It has a passion that is sorely lacking in most music today. His performances are alternately fun and rocking.

I am also a fan because David has gone way beyond what anyone could reasonably expect on behalf of his fans. He is eager to use his win to make a difference with charitable work. I love his self-deprecating manner and goofy sense of humor. I could go on....
