I'm so thankful you extended your tour, we tried and tried to get tickets to the college campuses but never could get tickets. David I have to tell you, my hubands cousin was a rigger for AC/DC, Ozzy Osbourne and many other wounderul people before he took his life, I got to see the real behind the sceens of how a show is put together. I have to say I've been to a lot of concerts and yours was one of the most wonderful and personal concerts I've ever been too. My daughters, one of their friends and I drove 2 1/2 hours to get there and it was ah-may-za-zing! I've learned tonight that all that extra stuff means nothing when you have a musician that is so errogant and not humble like you seem. I told the kids on the drive home, he is so amazing, he's the tipe of guy you would love to just set down and have coffee or what ever kind of drink with....lol and just talk. I too lost a brother to that life robbing disease known as cancer. In fact, I was the same age as you when I lost my brother. It hurt so much to watch my beautiful brother suffer 9 years from this horrific disease. He actually was surrounded by family at the end but decided to die when I was with him alone in his room. I can actually still hear the few last breaths he took until he couldn't fight no more. He died 19 years ago on May 5, 1990. Hold tight to those memories of your brother. The pain will lessen as time passes, this I promise you. The memories of him will remain forever in your heart.

When I received your CD for Christmas and listened to it, I knew immediately that "Permanent" was in his honor. You refreshed my mind with so many memories that I had stored in the back of my head, I thank you for this.

You are a beautiful person with a personality that shines through your music. Please continue to use this talent. When I was your age, my life was surrounded by such things like sex, drugs, & rock and roll. I too could sing but that talent was wasted by the life style I chose. Don't ever get lost in this crazy world. Keep your head on straight so I can continue to enjoy the beautiful music you create.

I saw you in Philly on the Idol tour and Loved it. I will continue to see you in the future, this I am sure of. The thing that amazes me the most is that from the first time I saw you audition for Idol, I picked you as the winner along with my mother. Like they say, mom knows best! The night you won, I felt like I hit the lottery because not only was I correst on who was going to win, but I outsmarted all those friends of mine who chose others to be the winner. If I placed a bet on you winning, I'd be one rich b**** right now.

Amy G. - When David's video hit the number 1 spot on VH1's Top 20, he was a guest on the show and talked about making the video. He said he had to type up the lyrics to the whole song backwards, and learn how to sing it backwards for the video. They taped it normally, with him singing the song backwards, and then play the video backwards, but then it looks like he's actually singing the song the right way. David just wanted to tell you that I lost my brother on Christmas Eve in 2007. The song Permanent tears at my heart because someone else understands my pain. My brother was a loving husband and father and only 50 years old. He died of Aniplasty Thyroid Cancer. My mom died the 9th of may the same year. When my brother was diagnosed they gave him a 1% chance to survive one year. He died in 7 months. He suffered so much pain and many hearts miss him every day. I applaud you for your help in the battle of cancer awareness. So many peoples lives are affected by different types of cancer and not all of them are being researched. I tried to set up a fund The Roger Fund in Memory of my brother to raise money for this very rare cancer in hopes that his death would save someones life and not be for nothing. I would have to have raised 9,000 dollars just to set up the fund. Haven't gotten there yet. But thank you again for giving me and others who share in this type of pain and the loss of a family member something very special the song. Even though you wrote it for your brother I believe many people will hold this dear to them also. My deepest empathy goes out to you and your family.
