i am still trying to put my finger on it......oh sure, we all agree that david is a talented musician, with the unique ability to draw his audience into the song that he is singing. whether it's one of his originally written/recorded ones, or one that has been previously recorded,and that he has put his own 'twist' on.....but for me it's more than that....i see in david, an artist that wants to create something with a lasting quality to it,,,something that has more than a 'surface meaning' to it,,,,,something that will be relevant for years to come......that kind of artist (in my opinion) has become few and far between in the last few years...
with david's talent and ability to be self-assured enough to 'know who he is' and 'what he wants' while simultaneously not having the 'fear' of displaying it to the world, he gives us the chance to know a part of him, a chance to experience this whole thing with him, to be a part of it from the beginning....it's exciting, it's refreshing,,,,he's exciting, he's refreshing.....
so why am i a fan? well, even after all this 'splaining, i still just shake my head in disbelief, because, as a grown, professional woman, i still can't figure out how he has 'struck a chord' (pun intended) so deep within me that i am behaving like such a fangirl.....oh, what the heck, why fight it? thank you david, for allowing us to share in your experience and giving us the 'time of our lives'
