    David, I just drove 4 hours home from the awesome Sunfest and checked my e-mail. I am shocked and saddened about your brother Adam's passing. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family. I also appreciate the courage you showed by being at the Race for Hope today. Adam would be so proud of you, as we all are. God bless you and your family,

    the body of the message said:

    Every time I see someone now with spiky / dyed hair and tattoos, I don't judge them as rebellious, wild or risky anymore. I now think, "that could be another David Cook." I think he changed the image of a rocker for most. He has his college degree, is good to his family, and isn't afraid to show his sensitive side by displaying his emotions when he feels them.
