I'm a fan (and you should be too) because, well lets start from the beginning when I first saw DC or "Cookie" love that name. I did not see his audition during American Idol auditions week. I first saw Mr. Cook perform during the 1st official week of Idol which the contestants had to perform songs from the 60's I believe. He performed Happy Together and I guess what intrigued me the most was his voice of course but his presence on stage. I couldn't keep my eyes off him and he added a different feel to the song than just singing it straight. I thought to myself hey I like this guy; he entertained me very much as I'm sure many others. I was hooked right then and there. I even became a "word nerd" Word Nerd no. 1009. There are only a handful of artists/musicians/singers that I am passionate about and DC happens to be one of them. For someone in his 20's, speaking from one who will be 45 yrs old this month...does that make me a "Cougar" David Cook sings with such emotion and strength which I find a breath of fresh air not just for someone his age but overall period.! At times when I feel at my lowest or trying to deal with everyday life as we all are I listen to his songs from Idol and from Analog Heart and it just soothes my soul. I've also seen him on a number of talk shows after winning Idol and he's so refreshing, very easy on the eyes of course and entertaining to listen to. I did see him on tour when the top ten performed in Hartford, CT and he was AMAZING. Love his new single "Light On" a must have;anxiously awaiting his new CD and hopefully a solo tour. Finally last but certainly not least he has great love for his family and family is important to me as well. There's also tremendous respect for his fans which is unique and he's true to himself as a man and an artist. I could go on and on but for me and hopefully you as well that's why David Cook...
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
