there are a million reasons why everyone should love david cook. because of the whole "million reasons" thing, i can't exactly say every single reason right here. i can say a few though.
1) his lyrics. in every single one of david's songs, there's a real message. none of them are about nonsense things or things that don't really make sense, and that makes his music more enjoyable to listen to. when i first got his CD, i listened to it 5 times in a row because i loved the lyrics so much.
2) his personality. in a lot of celebrities, they put up sort of a wall between themselves and the public. david cook is not one of those celebrities. you can tell by everything he does! i mean, i saw him twice on the american idol tour this summer (in san diego and tacoma), and during one of the performances, someone threw a bracelet at his feet during the show. as soon as he saw it, he picked up the bracelet and put it on for everyone to see. he really seemed to think of it as a gift instead of thinking "haha, some crazy fan threw a bracelet at me!".
3) his hard work. throughout the whole american idol season, david put all his heart and effort into doing his best in the competition. when they show the little clips on american idol that show the singer working on their song for that week, every week, he was working so hard, and he was so sincere to all the celebrities that he worked with.

i really admire david cook, and i think he's an amazing role model too. everytime someone even mentions him to me, i say "oh! i love him!". and after all i've said, his lyrics, personality, and hard work are only a few reasons why i'm a fan of david cook.
