  • It was great meeting you, Judi; so happy you we able to join us. We did all have such a terrific time, didn't we? We got the most wonderful show and met so many others both from DCO and those not yet here. (Hope they will be soon, though.) Even though I had suspected a few weeks ago that David might honor DCTR by doing the whole "record," somehow it never occurred to me that it would include the privilege of witnessing and sharing a live performance Permanent. It has always been so much more than just a song for me, even on the album. In person, it's an electrifying, deeply moving experience.

  • I just love this song, among so many others of David's Axium writings, esp. Therapy, Just in Case, Somber, Leave Behind, more than I can list, really. (David wrote all lyrics for all Axium songs except Incarcerate, which was solely Jeff Shrout. Jeff also wrote the music for Close Your Eyes. I love the sort of "Celtic Lament" feel of this song.) As best as I can tell by listening too many times, these are the lyrics for Close Your Eyes, to my ears only, of course. I'm sure others hear some phrases differently. Sorry I don't know of any source for "official, verified" lyrics.

  • He's such an amazing, thoughtful and considerate guy, and has attracted some amazing, thoughtful and considerate fans. You are among them, of course, for the exceptional effort you put in to see these shows and to show him your love and support, as are his other fans at the concert who were so kind to you. So much love to go around, starting with David, and making the circle complete.

  • DAVID COOK - SONGWRITING AND CO-WRITING CREDITS (91):

This discography groups songs by each co-writer alphabetically. It is a companion blog to David's Chronological Songwriting Discography, which also includes album production information and tracklists.

  • David Cook has an amazing songwriting history. From the resources I could access as a fan, he has writing credit on approximately 91 songs, sole writing credit on 36 of those. Eight Axium songs were unreleased, and we've heard only A Daily AntheM, We're Only Honest, and that tease snippet of Better Never Than Late from his unreleased second solo album. In addition, several songs were written that didn't make the Album-David Cook; so far we've heard only Souvenir. I included youtube links for all available songs, except those on DCTR.
