My mom and I were lucky to get 2 10th row tickets for this concert. I have always been a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE fan of David, and met him once before, so of course, I couldn't resist. So there me and my best friend were, standing behind some other people in front of the stage, signs and all, way into the action. He waved to us twice and smiled that beautiful smile. But the real highlight of the night at the Ameristar, was when he began throwing out guitar picks. I wanted to catch one, so I was yelling, "David, David!" with my hands up. Then, to my amazement, David Cook was walking over to our area pointing a finger at someone, which was me. He handed me a guitar pick!!!! I just wanted to say this. David, if you read this post, I thank you more than words could ever think of.
Love your BIGGEST FAN in St. Joseph, and all of the country, probably,
Kara ♥ If i could give you 100,000,000/5, I would in a heartbeat.

i <3<3<3<3<3<3 david cook!!!!!!!!!!!
I was just looking at pictures from this concert and remembering how much fun I had. It was one of the best concerts I have ever been too. I was lucky enough to meet a few of the band members after the show and get pictures with David, Andrew and Joey.
I have to say, I absolutely love the CD, but, the live performance this band put on was incredible. I have to call it the best live performance I have ever been to. I enjoyed the music so much and the icing on the cake was David's voice, personality and overall performance!! Thank you for coming back to Kansas City and giving us this special performance. THE ENTIRE BAND ABSOLUTELY ROCKS!!!
One more thing, I thought I was going to pass out during Bar-ba-sol. I love how the band ROCKED OUT to it and it was incredible watching it live. Whenever I am down or stressed, the mere sound of David's voice relaxes me, but, Bar-ba-sol gives me that lift when I need it. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT.
I wish I could jet off to one of your upcoming concerts soon, I am "jonesing" for one.
(Hmmmm, there could actually be "Pun" intended if you knew my real name) LOL. We will leave it at that.
Just wanted you to know how much we enjoyed the show & the intimate feeling of the venue.
I think we behaved ourselves pretty well...knowing how you feel about your privacy.
Loved your stories & your performance & being able to see your eyes.
You left us wanting more...you have a way of doing that...don't you?
I am forcing myself to wait thru the long pause now between tracks so I can hear "Kiss on the Neck"
I haven't been very patient to wait to listen to it before. Now, I am thinking you really do know what you are doing to us!!! No wonder the women are going crazy over you & you have to be sure and set firm boundaries with us!!
I got convinced to see you again @ Red,White & Boom...wasn't too hard to convince me...thank goodness I am friends with another fan like me who got me a ticket while I was trying to decide if I could go or not. I know I will not be up close & personal like this show but will be happy to hear you perfom again outdoors and be in the "Spirit of your Presence". Being that close to watch you perform was the Ultimate for me...I can't help but think "What would it be like if lived with someone who could perfom like that for me?"
See you again in just a couple of months!!
Kim
I called the Ameristar to find out how to get tickets and they told me to call or go online. I called and got in at 10:00:03 and the guy told me it was too early, I had to call back! I made him re-check his time and I was right...he was able to pull up tickets. I only needed 2 tickets but he said I could buy up to 6 (which I did not b/c I wanted everyone to have a shot.) The only tickets he had available at that time were in the "risers" section. This is at 10:01. I was also online already and had 2 seats reserved on the floor, center section towards the back. I took floor seats because at the AI show, we stood the entire time anyway. (We were on the extreme side of the stage though, and couldn't see anything on the "screens". I feel lucky to have gotten tickets and I'm sorry for you guys who didn't get in. I would have bet money that they would have done a 2nd show.
Does anyone know when/if/where they will be signing autographs?
I waited too long, I guess. I am so disappointed that the Tulsa concert is only for students. BUT, I can go to Kansas City b/c I'm close to there, too. Will the person who posted last let me know if their ticket is still available? or anyone else? Thank you!!!
Hi all -
I have 1 ticket for sale to this event. I originally was planning to go but have a meeting the next day that I must be at.
My ticket is:
Section Row Seat
RTA L 6
With fees, etc., the total was roughly $88. I will sell for face value + shipping (FedEx) upon receipt of paypal payment. Please PM me if you are interested!
Well, I had to pay a pretty penny but I managed to get 2nd row front and center tickets and I am sooo stoked! It will be a once in lifetime "Dream Come True" for me so that is why I did not mind paying a bit more for a ticket!

It is nice to see a few others on here were able to get tickets.
I am hearing from so many disappointed people who tried and did not.
My friend and I both called in and each got a pair. She got the best seats for us...Section A Center Stage 11th row.
She managed to talk to someone a few minutes before I did.
The person I had seemed new and not very speedy. I just wanted the 2 best seats. She told me there were none together...only individual seats for sale. Than she would try to reserve a pair and said they were gone. Finally, she reserved 2 seats together in the Risers Row LL seats 11 and 12.
Not long after the ticket sales...I promised them to another friend/fan who was very disappointed after she had just gotten off the phone/online without any tickets.
I began to wonder the next day as I went back online.
How many people have purchased these tickets only to make a profit???
Sure seems like there were an awful lot being sold on ebay!!
I am sure David would be disappointed to know that...don't know what can/if anything can be done about it.
I am very excited to have tickets to the show.
But feel bad for so many others who really wanted to get tickets, too.
I can only hope he might add another night for another chance for others. But, feel like it will be difficult again with all those people who are just buying to make a profit.
Kim
I was able to get only one ticket online. This was with the help of 2 people and I got 15 rows back. They are not horrible seats. I have been to concerts here and really, not any of the seats are horrible. It would be nice to sit closer. I will keep trying. I refuse to give that much money to the scalpers. I saw a pair of front row seats on Ebay for $1400! that's what is craziness! To all of those who didn't get tickets, let's hope he does another show here or something will open up!
Good luck all!

If life is like a box of chocolates, which events in your life will be the caramel pieces?
You Also have to take into consideration that not all 1300 tickets were on sale. Some were already given to radio stations. Plus some also are being held for David's family and friends and maybe the bands friends family and friends also. So who knows how many are being held for those reasons.
Like some of the others I was online hitting the refresh button repeatedly well before 10am. Standing in line or calling on the phone is just a waste of time when it's such a small venue. For those of you who didn't get tickets I'm sorry. Next time go online, it's the best way.
I got my tickets!!!!! I was online at 9:58 and kept refreshing.. the stupid thing wouldn't work, when I had to go out and come back in. THEN when I tried to get the ones I wanted it said "those seats aren't available together." I had to get the "cheaper" ones, but I took what I could get!!!!
I saw David perform at the "K" during his homecoming and am so excited to see him do his own show!!!!!!
I got my tickets online. I called the casino last week and asked the lady how she would reccommend getting tickets (since I'd never been to a concert there before - I'm from Oklahoma City). She told me they would be available by phone or online at tickets.com. My friend and I both got on our computers at 9:55, and then just clicked 'refresh' over an over until 10:00 when the site became active. After lots of refreshing, 2 seats finally showed up. I filled out all my information while my friend continued to search (just in case something better came up before I confirmed our tickets). The seats we got are great, but we were really hoping for something a little closer to the stage. I decided to search for 2 tickets again (hopefully seeing seats further back, thus making me feel better about mine!) and after several "high transaction volumes" notifications, it said they were sold out. I could NOT believe it.
I go to a lot of concerts, and am always online ready to buy tickets as soon as they go on sale, but I've NEVER seen one sell out this fast.
If you are in the KC area, I would highly recommend listening in to the radio stations and trying to win tickets there, because I'm sure they'll be giving them away.
My husband was in line at Ameristar with about 40 people ahead of him. Only one person got through before they announced tickets were sold out! It only took 6 minutes to sell out! Now you can buy them online for $200.00 to $800.00 per ticket. If David was getting the money I would do it but I don't want to give it to the scalpers that took the tickets away from us.... THE FANS! The venue is to small but also something is wrong when the venue can't get more than one person through before tickets sell out! I really hope he schedules another concert!!!!
I really thought that the Ameristar was just too small of a venue for him and I was right. I didn't know whether to go via internet for tickets or just go to the box office at Ameristar. When I got there there were 75 people ahead of me-approx. Within 10 min. of the box office opening, it was all sold out! I was stunned. I just wish he had booked the Sprint Center instead-definitely somewhere bigger than Ameristar. Hopefully he'll add another date-then we'll camp out!! Ticketmaster has them on sale for 5 X as much as they would have cost. I just hate it when people do that. Well something will work out. I know those of you that got tickets will have a great time!
I am totally bummed that I was on line at 10:10 this morning and there were no tickets left. I knew it would sell out quick but that was kind of ridiculous! I was hoping they would do another show but not sure the schedule will allow that....urgh!
.. because according to the casino's website they are SOLD OUT! I got online right at 10 to buy mine and had a hard time getting through due to high transaction volumes. I bought the first 2 that popped up, and then got right back online to see what came available next and it said "The ticketing system currently indicates that no seats are available for this performance." I couldn't believe it! They had only been on sale for 10 minutes!! I've gone back online several times since and it's still saying there are no seats available. Crazy!
The Ameristar tickets sold out in 8 minutes. Wonder how eBay had tickets for this event before they even went on sale. I've been trying to win some, but so far, no luck. My son lived by David in Warrensburg and we have attended the Blue Springs Homecoming event and the A.I. concert. I really, really want us to be able to see him again. I won't give up, if nothing else I will gamble at Ameristar on the night he's there, so at least I'll feel like I'm a part of it. ;-( His brother Andrew is the nicest guy person. I met him at Walmart and he was so gracious and friendly. They have an awesome family. Kudos to their Mom for raising such fine young gentlemen.
I cannot wait until April gets here!! I am DYING to see him in concert again!!!!! We had such a good time during the AI live tour that another trip to KC is just what we need - especially when we are talking DC concert tickets!!
