Age? What Age?
I find this whole thing about David & [some] Ladies of a Certain Age very interesting.
That the age difference means so much to them.
How hard it is for some to get over it.
I almost think they are ashamed of how they feel for this "young boy".
How stuck they are in their body-identification. They believe they are the mass of flesh & bone that feels the gravitational pull of the earth & tides?
For me this is unthinkable.
I know for an absolute truth that I am NOT this flesh & bone. I am the Light that exists within. This is an absolute fact.
My body is my vehicle. I take care of it because I am on a long journey with many, many miles/years to go. I want to complete this journey which in itself is difficult enough.
But for me to believe my body is the REAL ME is like me saying your car is the real you. Ridiculous.
See it for what it is. This is TRUTH. WE ARE NOT OUR BODIES.
Some ppl see this.
I believe David sees this.
I believe him when he says "AGE IS JUST A NUMBER".
It's very Zen when you think about it.
I believe he looks deeper. Sees farther. Looks us in the eye and SEES us as we REALLY are.
That's why I believe Dave can look at a 60-something fan and NOT see some creepy old lady. I believe he sees love shinning from the vehicle, straight from the source and he pays no more attention to the "outer wrapping" of our bodies than he does to what color shirt we are wearing.
And maybe for some 60-somethings, who have walked a different path, this could possibly be the GREAT love of their lives--how sweet they should know this before the vehicle fails--and they must move on.
How fulfilling it must be to finally hold your beloved and have him see You not as this body, but the love that lives inside. And how his loving hug filled up the empty places in your soul that had hungered for years....
Its easy to judge, but hard to know.
We cannot know what lives in another heart & mind.
David said "It's all about love."
And I believe him.
