We got to the fair around noon and after an hour of wandering around we went toward the bus and meet another fan from Israel who told us there were radio station representatives that are doing a raffle for a meet & greet tickets. So we went looking for them. We meet the person from the radio station who said the raffle happened yesterday and they already gave out all the tickets they had. We tried convincing him that we came a long way and maybe he could find tickets for us too, but he insisted the run out of them (yeah right!!) anyway we returned to the bus and meet some fans we know form the "Home of the word nerds" and waited for someone to come out. After a while Kyle and his wife and kid took out folding chairs from a pickup truck and seat between the truck and the bus. They seat there for quite some time with no interruptions. After a while David came out as well and started playing catch with someone and at some point Neal joined them (omg, my first Neal sighting). All that was behind a fence and occasionally when someone opened the gate we got to peek in and see them. At some point Neal passed by and I called him (don't know how I managed to do that) telling him I have something for him and he said he will be right back. So after the meet & greet was over Neal came out and I called him again, he came to us, I told him we came from Israel and I got a hug, I talked to him for a while and gave him the present I had for him. What can I say, this guy is so amazing. His presence is simply mesmerizing and he so gorgeous in real life, the photos doesn't do him justice. I really don't know how I got the courage to speak to him I just know that even before I left Israel I know that if there is something I must do is meet and talk to Neal. That I have to let him know what an amazing musician I think he is and how much I love the songs he writes and how amazing he plays etc… It's not that I didn't want to meet David I just didn't have the same need as I had to meet Neal. I am so glad I wasn't shy and managed to speak with him. Later I found out that Andy came out at the same time as Neal and I was so focused on Neal that I didn't even notice him. Later Kyle came out too and we talked to him and took pictures with him, he also signed our CD's, he is so sweet… he was amazed to learn that we come all the way from Israel. Through this whole time we saw David passing by several times between the bus and the closed area, everyone screamed whenever he passed by but no one really talked to him. The others went by us several times as well but other then the time we called Neal and Kyle they didn't stop and they had no good reason to since no one talked to them, something that really surprised me.
The concert was awesome, David talked about starting the west coast part of the tour and said that the day before they where in Lancaster and that it is basically a desert that has nothing but dust and that he never been before in a place with no grass. And than he came to Sacramento and his allergies started… At some point he asked someone in the back to show him his sign, the sign said "David I want to take you to Japan" and on the other side there was a drawing of a ninja…David couldn't stop laughing about that… I was disappointed we got Little Lies, I am not a big fan of Covers as it is and as much as David's covers are good I will always prefer to hear his original music, but one of the covers I was looking forward to hear live was "Died in Your Arms" and than right before the encore David started talking about how before each show they make a set list and he is not really sure what they do that for, but today they decided to change what the where going to play for the encore and to my delight they started playing "Died in Your Arms". Anther funny thing was that in the middle of "I did it for you" he started walking toward the screen and just stood there for a few seconds and stared at himself on the screen and he went the to the other screen stared at himself some more and turned to the crowed and made one of his silly faces… Lie was incredible as always, just too bad people don’t seem to know to shut-up during the A-cappella part.
After the concert we went toward the buses and it was crazy. We realized that David was out talking and signing for fans but we couldn’t really see him because there where too many people there, so we gave up on the idea of meeting him and left. We figured we already saw him a few days earlier in LA, so it's not really necessary to squeeze ourselves between all these people trying to get to David.

A Hug From Neal....
...Is something I crave!! Loved reading your recap, and I'm so pleased you got to meet the band, especially Neal. And of course, enjoyed the show.
