So it was the day of the taping and I am at work....actually a bit on edge...but happy...I decided to check on the tickets going on sale for David's concert here in San Diego and noticed that presale was TODAY! I had heard originally they were going on sale on Saturday....So here I was at work wondering how in the heck I was going to do the illegal and get on the internet and get the tickets! you had to have a passcode for the presale........so I called my daughter the incredibly tech savvy girl that she is and she found a code for me...BANJO...

I nervously typed it in and IT FREAKING WORKED! I looked at the tickets that were available to me and they were FRONT ROW.....I was so excited I think I teared up a bit!....can you say PURCHASE!!!

I left for LA with my daughter around 1 as we had to check in by 3.........on the way there my contact at AI called and said they changed the check in to 4! so we went to the farmers market to get a bit to eat....we decided to go the back way into CBS instead of using the outside streets...and as we came around the corner I spot Neal, Andy, Kyle and Joey sitting on the curb in the street just chillin in the sunshine.......I turned to my daughter and said....ummmm There is David's band...she thought I was lying...and I was like NOPE! so I walk over and introduce myself to the guys and shake their hand, I motion for my daughter to come over (she was afraid I guess). We chat a bit about the performance they are taping...they said they were just doing CBTM...I said that would be awesome...but what about BBS? and smiled...ahhhh no said Neal...by the way, he is such a sweet guy! I talk a bit with Andy and I told him we were from San Diego, he lit up and was like...I am from Del Mar! Kyle was kind of quiet, but I also chat just a bit with Joey, then we said goodbye and that we would see them inside.(no pics ladies...so proud I was just chill with them)

We get inside and my daughter is in the pit to the left, and I am a few rows directly behind David's Mom. Having been to AI a lot last year, I knew that David would not be able to be backstage not watching what was going on...(he always hid and watched the other performers) So I scanned the stage a bit and I spotted him right from the very beginning...he was up above where the band is all the way to the left....he was way into the show and reacting to all that was going on.....it was cool to be able to pick him out like that...

After AI was over they taped David's segment. His band was out strapping on their instruments but no David.....he made a bit of an entrance and everyone exploded with cheers....he did look a bit nervous for some reason..kind of subdued...not sure...maybe just the jitters having to be back on that stage....

he did his number as you have all seen by now, and then got his platinum album. His family was very proud of him. Mom was crying and bursting with pride in her son. It was very sweet. it was over way too quick! He walked up to his mom and gave her the album and talked to her for a minute and then they started to walk to the side door...kind of a backstage door..

Just then as I start to walk out, Sarah Roehmer (the girl in the CBTM) video walked right past me quickly and got to David. I thought ..........hmmmmm me thinks she must have a little crush on her costar! she was a girl on a mission to get to him quickly. I thought it was sweet...
We left AI and stopped at our In n Out....we reminisced about last year and how much better AI was....

Side note here.........we are going again this Wednesday because Archie will be on....so here we go again!
