this song, i always listen to it everytime.......my friends love's to sing this song as well,in fact all of them really admire all the songs of david cook.,come back to me,his version of always be my baby,light on and etc. ,its like a song for everyone..... i think,me and my friends can relate to the song.....thats why,when we meet with each other, we sing this song together,,...every word touches us, its like thers a meaning in every word....hayyyy just love the song so muchhh....

I have to say David Cook, well done. I mean really, "Light On" is like one of the best #1 hits every in a long time. "Light On" is the only song that I have listen to the most. Even in the day light, it still goes on. Its just very great to listen to. The last, but the music video is also amazing to watch as well. Keep on making #1 hits Mr. Cook, let them all shine on, like your heart, God Bless You.
I first heard the song while driving and thought "that sounds like David Cook!" The song was awesome and when the DJ said it was him I couldn't wait to get the CD! Now that I have the CD I play it all the time. I was a fan from the beginning of American Idol. I don't usually watch much TV, but I never missed American Idol and I couldn't wait to see him perform every week. It was what I looked forward to every week. I was disappointed when his couple of minutes were up! I wish he could have sung all night! I just love his voice and watching him perform. I was always wondering "what is he going to do with this song" ?. I was in tears also when he won...the finale was so wonderful! I was so happy for him. I still keep replaying the video where he was crowned AI and him singing "Time of My Life"...how appropriate! And it still brings tears to my eyes.
David, if you read these things, just want to let you know how great I think you are! You really touched a lot of people. Keep up the good work! Look forward to seeing you in concert!

I think everyone has The Right To "Interpert" The Song However.....As Long As We Get What We Want Out Of The Song....That What Matters....I have heard a lot of complaints it all good to wish and to wish that David or His "Crew" and "Director" Of "The Music Video" would interpert The Song the way we would want it to be......"But that impossible...When you read a book,not everyone going to get The Same Interperation of The Book we would all see different things In The Book,Yes The Same Facts but we all see it differently,we might not agree but we aren't The Same Person Either...so how can we come up with The Same Conclusion Of The Song...You also,have to take into consideration that there are different writers to The Songs...Everyone sees The Song as a way to express their own emotions...so to me it really hard to come up with such a "Main Theme"...I Like "The Music Video "Lights On" It Simple...If your interperation didn't match..."Just Enjoy The Song" Think of Your Interperation..."Think Of The Military..and pray for them as you listen To The Song...at The Same Time...You will get blessed more then if you saw your interperation come to life...It what we do with "The Interperation Of The Song... that really matters...We do need to keep "The Military into our prayers...so thanks for That interperation...

David, thanks for such a beautiful song.. Right now my husband and I are going through cancer for the second time. This song is just so reassuring, bringing us both hope and courage to keep the light on for each other, and knowing that once again we'll bring each other through, to the safety and warmth of each other.
Thanks once a million times over, and can't wait for the entire cd to come out. I hope this song brings others together, and peace of mind when you are feeling blue. I know it has me!
