Headliners Hall Show :)

I’ll just start from when we arrived there.

We arrived in Louisville about 2:00 and made our way to Headliners. Once we reached destination, I was surprised at the line. There was only about maybe 15 to 20 people waiting. We parked and found a place… then Stacy pointed me out! I went over and said my hellos to her and Melissa; it was so great to meet them. We found our place in line at we sat for about maybe an hour, then decided to mingle with the crowd. Smiling We talked to few people who said we just missed David before we got here, but it was no biggie. The buses were RIGHT THERE next to the venue, so packed together. I got a few glimpses of Joey getting on and off the bus. I could pick Joey out of a crowd easy, haha. The sun was BLAZING so my friend and I decided to sit on the curb, which were next to the buses.

After about maybe 30 minutes of sitting there, this black Jeep pulls up next to us and the buses (keep in mind there are still 25 people in line). A couple of guys get out and then who comes climbing out along with them? David. Apparently he had gone shopping with the guys because they had some bags in hand. I didn’t really look his way but when I did, he saw my friend and I and waved and said “Hey guys…”. We did the nice thing and waved back, saying “Hello..” He was literally about 3 feet away from me, and for some reason, I was acting like I was saying hi to some other person (which he is a normal person). He seemed pretty OK given the circumstances, but he was friendly, none the less. After they loaded the stuff on the bus, I think Joey, Kyle and David were playing football. I loved watching him play and I loved the fact that no one in the line bothered him; he could actually play in peace. He was having a great time with the guys. A little but later, they all went in for sound check or something (I missed them sound checking Silver). Mel and Stacy wanted to take some pictures, at which one point one of them, if not both, said “He did it for you…”. Yeah, I won’t get into that story, such shamefulness that goes along with it. Eye-wink
After about three hours of waiting, watching, and talking to people, my friend and I walked down to the gas station for some water. We saw David’s dad buying some things. We weren’t for sure at first if it was him, but it was. I returned to the line to find out from Mel that Silver was sound checked… and I missed it, lol. We also saw little (well, not so little anymore) Dublin, he is a doll! All the guys were going all girly on him, haha.

A little bit later, Ryan came out to talk to some people in the line. I walked over to Stacy and joined in her and Ryan’s conversation… about Twitter. Stacy mentioned that David doesn’t have a Twitter. His face dropped about 15 feet to the ground and he said “No… he doesn’t Twitter?! Really?” I said “Nope... he’s pretty much against the whole Twitter thing.” He looked around (I guess to make sure Dave wasn’t in sight) and said “Wow, what an idiot!” He was joking, of course. He also mentioned about Twitter being the new herpes or something of that sort. So yeah, Ryan is not that afraid to speak his mind, haha! After maybe an hour after talking to Ryan, he came back with his guitar and actually did an acoustic performance of Sink or Swim (which was AMAZING by the way). He asked my friend to do a clap solo, and when she passed on that, he started a crowd wave. Ryan coming back out and singing before the show was a treat!

They finally opened the doors at 7, and I was front center! I was thrilled at my placement. It was crammed, none the less… and HOT. They finally turned on the AC at 7:30, so that was refreshing. Finally, Ryan came on at 8… he opened with Brand New Day (now one of my favorite songs) and it was AMAZING! He then proceeds to break the mic stand, Go Ryan! He also said “Maybe I should just break David’s drums too while I’m at it. It’s not mine anyways.” He was hilarious. He sang Last Train Home which made me happy. All in all, his set was AMAZING! Once he hopped off stage, he threw a condom in the audience (don’t ask me why, for I have no clue nor do I want to know, lol). Ryan, Ryan, Ryan.

NOW, at 9… Dave and the guys pile onstage as Rick Rolled plays, haha. No words can describe how amazing he and the band were. Before CBTM, he takes it upon himself (as always) to brag about kissing Sarah from Disturbia, adding that it was “pretty damn good if I say so myself.” He must be so proud of his kissing skills, lol! He seemed to be kind of somber (but who can blame him, I would be the same) and you can tell he has some thick skin. I can’t even fathom what he’s going through, but he seems like the type who just cannot lock himself into a room and sulk. It’s almost like doing the whole music thing helps in a way, like a release of some sort. His dad and extended family were there, and I THINK I saw Kendra, but don’t quote me on that. He put on such an AMAZING show, and I will defiantly want to see another one in the future. I know I have not said a lot, but this experience has no words, it was THAT amazing of a day.
