High Def or just HQ
Here's the blog where you weigh in on the great camera debate before tonight's show.
Good Morning DCO! Another day, another David Cook concert.
My videos from last night are still in the process of being converted and uploaded, but before the concert tonight, I need a little input. I used two different cameras last night to record different parts of the show (I actually recorded absolutely EVERYTHING and all banter is included with the songs). What I'd like to know is if there is a noticeable difference in the quality between the two different cameras? So, if you can manage to FORCE yourselves to watch yet ANOTHER David Cook video from last night's show, please let me know if the High Def video is enough better quality than the High Q video that I should use ONLY the High Def camera tonight. I'll put this note in a blog here and y'all can weigh in with responses there rather than clogging up this thread with them.
I can hardly WAIT until tonight. Knowing the guys predeliction for changing things up, a small part of me has her fingers crossed for a few of my favorites that DIDN'T make an appearance last night (although last night's set up pretty close to my dream set).

which camera
Hi Angie,
First of all thank you so much for all you do for all of us. It makes us feel a part of it all even from a long distance.
I think the HQ was better last night, focus and maybe even sound. Just an opinion of course. Go with whatever is easier for you to manage. Such a gift you're giving us.
Vote for HQ
Hi ANgie,
Awesome videos! Thanks so much for recording everything. My vote is for HQ...for some reason my computer sometimes freezes when loading HD vids.
Hope you have another great night!! What am I saying...it's DFC....of course you will!!
You are a Goddess
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this labor of love! I'm still watching, but I want to give you my feedback now because I'm so gobsmacked by these videos. I watched them in order and am up through Lie (video #7). I need to say that this is a new high in concert video. You got everything, even the banter, bless you.
Feedback:
For concert videos without using a tripod, it's HQ all the way.
I suspect that HD using a tripod and paying close attention to focus would blow us all away.
However, the HD stabilization issue without a tripod is a distraction to the viewer.
Your seat was perfect for video - near enough for great close-ups and far away enough for great wide shots of the band.
Your seat was also perfect for audio - clear sound not distorted by the drums and bass.
Aloha, Jane
I liked the HQ best
Angie, I found the quality very similar but the image stabilization on the HQ videos made them more enjoyable.
Thanks so much for all of them!

High Def IS the Future
Almost the Same
Hi Angie,
I couldn't see a noticeable difference. Both look great to me. I actually watched the videos before I saw your message and I didn't pay particular attention to whether it was HD or HQ, all's I thought was that your videos are great.
I VOTE FOR HIGH QUALITY
Hi Angie
I vote for HIGH QUALITY instead of HD, because the last one, only can be watched well in faster computers/connections, and not everybody have them. (In my case, for example, I haven´t watched any HD definition video, ´cause they last around an hour to load and when they do, they appear in slow motion, I guess it is the same for many people too).
