i, not unlike the rest of the dco population, have been anxiously awaiting this week to arrive...call it our early christmas, new years, birthday, *fill in the blank* party...and it has arrived, finally. i, too, downloaded it as soon as i was able (for me personally, it was 0330 am central time). i have listened, reviewed, & re-played dc's debut cd. i have lurked here to discover what others are feeling, in regards to the cd. i discovered there was a 'hidden' track (btw--that is a whole separate story in itself, kinda comical, actually), the bonus tracks and so on and so on and (you guessed it) so on.....i have even taken my lunch time from work to purchase the hard copy of the cd at walmart today (did i mention that it's already downloaded onto my iphone?) again, reviewed, replayed, listened...and have completely melted over this one.....how can that be? how can i love (in the most candid, naked definition) the whole compilation? have i been brainwashed? i would just love to tell you that i mean that with all the unbiased, nondenominational traits of my mind/heart,,,,but alas, i cannot...i know i have neither trait embedded deep within my spirit when it comes to the artist/musician david cook....but, biased does not mean irrational....(seriously, look it up in webster's)...therefore, though my opinion of this cd by dc may be biased (i really can't help it, look at the time alone i've spent on this musician this year!)....the pure, simple fact that it is OUTSTANDING is not said or felt with any irrationality (whatsoever).....david, you have created music that has made the hair on the back of my neck stand up....each track, for one reason or another, has a connection with my soul and will forever be...granted some are because of the direct connection to you...LO, TOML.....others will be part of me, because of my life's experiences,,,,something that has always connected me to 'my music'.......thank you, david, for your gift......
