I Hear Wedding Bells
I was skimming over my last few blogs entries, and realized they were all slightly "deep." And while I don't have a problem with talking about "deep" stuff on here, I figure I should have some more light-hearted blogs once in awhile. This will be one of them. And it's sort of odd that I chose today for such a blog, because I've actually been in a somewhat depressed mood the last few days. Perhaps this will help me get up out of it
I mentioned this in the Yes.com thread and the Arizona thread, but I'll mention it here, too: I heard LO on the radio on Thursday morning as I arrived to work. The security guards in my building had the radio on, and I heard it start as I waited for the elevator. I was momentarily in shock, because I knew that no Tucson station had played it yet. Then I walked back over to the security guards' desk and they turned it up for me so I could listen to it. It was a really great experience being able to hear the very first spin on Tucson radio, and I'm glad I was lucky enough to be able to do so.
Another thing some folks already know (but others may not) is that I got an iPod Touch on November 1st. I put a picture of David as my homepage picture, and I bought the LO lighter application right after I downloaded all my music. It's great being able to carry all my music around with me now. Before, all I could do was listen to it at home on my PC. It really sucked. The coolest thing about the Touch is that I can access iTunes right on it...so I can download my music directly on to my iPod, bypassing the syncing process. I tested it out with Andy's EP (which is insanely awesome, btw...y'all should buy it if you haven't already), and it worked like a charm. Then when I went to download another song from iTunes to my iPod, it noticed I had music on my iPod that wasn't on my iTunes...and it copied it and put it on my iTunes!! I was tickled pink. Yay for iPods! lol
So by now I'm sure you're wondering what any of this stuff has to do with the title of my post. Well that's my final topic of the day: Nleigh's wedding to David Cook: The Record!
Now if you frequent Yes.com, you know exactly what I'm talking about. But if you don't, here's the deal: Nleigh is waiting until the 18th to hear The Record...and that includes snippets. She also isn't reading the lyrics. NO spoilers for her. She joked that she was waiting for her wedding night..and the next thing you know, we're planning a wedding!
And I do mean planning. Nleigh has written vows, zillablue has written vows for The Record (to be read by Best Man David Cook), we've got the ushers (the other band members), the bridesmaids (myself, lettuce, zilla, and a couple other yes.com folks), dates for the bridesmaids ( lettuce/Neal, me/Andy, etc.), and we even have the clothes picked out! On top of that, we've planned a bachelorette party, and we've chosen the food, the band, and the location. And we planned for the afterparty as well. It's pretty detailed considering it's fake.
As odd as it sounds, I think it would be cool if someone documented it in detail and gave it to David and the band. I think they'd find it hysterical. It's a great example of the crazy things fans do for David Cook and his Record. lol. And in all honesty, all this detailed planning for it has made me wish it were real...in the sense that we'd all be gathering together in once place (with David and the band!) to celebrate the release of The Record. Instead, we have to communicate through our computer screens. But that's better than no communication at all, I suppose!
One week left until The Record is ours! Yay!!

Congrats on the iPod touch!
I had to check it out on the apple store site, I've heard of the iPod of course but I didn't know that there were several types of ipods and accessories! I just might have to look into one of those also, is there anything it can't do? LOL!
I haven't visited Yes.com but it all sounds hilarious, what's next, the baby shower? LOL!
Still No Hear!
I still haven't heard "Light On" in AZ! Lucky you.
Yay!
Loved it! Thanks for writing down all this insanity!
Yeah, I wish we could do it for real too. Wouldn't it be awesome to all get together and celebrate The Record's release together?
But in a sense that's what we're doing. It's going to be so fantastic!
