Its Time For A Change... For Me
FEBRUARY 3, 2009, 4:07 pm
Next year, I am going to the best school (opinion) in the Lee's Summit District, Lee's Summit West High School. I got my recommendation sheet today. And you know what it said, nothing, nothing for me about me going for "advanced classes" (not empasized) next year. In stead, being one-of-the-best writers in the whole school (not kinding), I have to go to a special reading class for my comprehension. I know, What the heck! And now because of that, I'm going to be my absolute serious in school. Like doing my homework when I go home, read, and actually studying for test for 3 hours without taking a break in that time. I'm done with everybody thinking that I'm an idiot. It's time for a change...for myself.

Good for you!
I found out as an adult that I have dyslexia. I am now a tutor for children with dyslexia. So here's the deal, dyslexia can effect one's reading comprehension, not because he/she isn't intelligent, but because deciphering the words being read is difficult. Also people with this learning disability can be very prolific writers.
So, I'm not saying this is what you have, but I am saying you are most certainly NOT an idiot and in fact, you're probably extremely intelligent. Just keep up your hard work ethic and you'll do great! I also saw in a post above that your grades are going up, it seems to be paying off.
May God Bless you in your journey in school and life.
