Jingle Ball: Parte Dos with PICTURES!

I wanted to just add a little more about my Jingle Ball experience, mostly because I am sad its over and need to relive it!! Smiling

Being outside all day was ridiculously cold but it went by really fast because of some super cool people. One of the best parts was soundcheck. We were right outside the venue doors so of course we heard when the band started soundcheck. Immediately everyone RUNS to the door and me and Megan end up with our faces smooshed against the glass windows trying to hear anything at all. Haha. It was pretty ridiculous. That is also where the wonderful quote came:
"did he just say....check check check make my crotch sneeze???"
yes megan. I think he did. Smiling

So once we get inside and take our spots right in front of the doctor himself!! Sarah and I danced to the DJ's tunes while we waited to plode with excitement. Finally, the band comes out!! Seeing Andy in person was just nuts. I love that kid so much so I screamed for about 10 minutes. Then the guys started playing sans David. An epic intro to Heroes which ended with David running on stage yelling "WHATS GOING ON???" God he just looked so happy!! It's so great to see him on tour with these people that he loves, singing song that he loves, and just rocking out. He was obviously born to do this.

So Mr. Sensitive came next and it was AWESOME. Then I believe came LOTM which is 100 times better live than any sound recording. Actually that is so true of all of these songs. I know David said they are meant to be performed live, well that is so true!

Anyway, Permanent was amazing. I love the band coming in at the end and I hope he keeps that. It was emotional but also powerful and rocking. Great call by Dave and the EEB.

Then HUNGER STRIKE!!! I just typed Hunger Stroke by accident, but you know what thats what it was. ANDY AND DAVID SINGING AN MWK SONG TOGETHER???? SERIOUSLY???
God it was amazing. I want to relive that so badly. I swear there is just SO much going on on that stage...I wanted to watch every one of those boys, hear the music, sing a long, etc. and I just couldn't do it all!!

Anyway, Andy and Dave killed it and it was so cute because they clearly were loving it. What a trip for them. There were some serious looks at each other during that song that just seemed to say "wow. we did it, man"

Declaration, EPIC as always. Bar-ba-sol, panties, what else needs to be said? Don't want to open up that can of worms again. Haha. And then LO!!! SO amazing. I was just mesmerized. That was the one song I decided to take no photos in and just listen. Amazing, absolutely amazing.

So then, David, the little polite dofus told us all to stick around for Staind so naturally we assumed the band would be hanging around too. Unfortunately, I needed to go meet a friend in about a half hour so I just dashed out of the way and stood in the back waiting for my friend to get there. What do I find out later? Oh, the band was in the back meeting fans. DAMNIT!!!!!!!!
I can't even believe that happened. Oh well.

Seriously, front row? Hunger strike? First live performance of Permanent? 800 people? I really couldn't ask for a better first experience with Dave and the EEB. Smiling
