Wow! Amazing show – totally worth flying over from the UK for. The set list was pretty much perfect, Lie stood out for me as a highlight – it started with just David playing and gradually the rest of the band joined in. It is one of my favourite songs on the album and live it was even better. I also loved hearing Straight Ahead, KOTN and Breathe Tonight. The whole show was really up tempo – only a couple of quieter songs. The whole crowd was on its feet for the entire show and most people seemed to recognise the songs that weren’t on DCTR and get into them as much as the singles and more recognisable stuff. The set list was pretty much prefect for me, I would have loved to hear A Daily AntheM instead of Mr Sensitive but that one seems to have disappeared recently. We got WOHWWS so I got to see Neal singing back up briefly and Souvenir came after the banter about how many ex girlfriends he might have in the audience! Lots of great banter from David – he really seemed to be excited about playing his home town and having his family there, talked about the road signs with his name on them, hearing CBTM on the radio for the first time and got Andrew up on stage to sing Declaration.
Overall the whole experience was great – hope to repeat it again sooner rather than later!
