Knoxville
Hey all got time here on the plane so thought I'd do a proper recap for a change. Arrived in Nashville on Thurs afternoon and found my way to Knoxville with not too many problems. Met up with a friend for dinner at this great place just a street over from where the show was gonna be. That night they were having a free concert from Arrensted Development so the square was packed. So while at dinner over twitter heard David was out and about in the crowd there but we never saw him even if we may have looked. So next morning I arrived somewhere around 730 in the morning to see if they were enforcing the no lining up thing or what and since it was pooring no one was out there so stop lining up so there were some people there so I joined them which put me about 20th in line or so. Shortly after met Crowgirls and thanks for all the info and help. Met so many people this weekend it was awsome. The square the venue was in had tons of neat little shops and stuff so we all kinda took turns eating in this cute little breakfast place. The weather was pretty crappy at this point good thing for umbrellas and ponchos. So somewhere around 10am the venue staff showed up and put up barricades and baloons on a street nearby since they actually had another even there earlier in the day and didn't want us to get in the way.
Eventually the weather cleared and it actually got pretty nice for a while. The venue also had a cafe and sent over some cookies and brownies for us. Also the manager came over to us several times to check on how things were going and let us know how we would be moved later when it was time for the show. So guess it was around 4pm in the afternoon when I was walking back from getting some food and everyone is yelling for me to hurry cause they were moving us into the basement for fear of tornados as you all heard on twitter. Sorry I didn't twitter alot cause I was saving my battery for the show. So we are all safely in doors and again they bring us cookies and brownies and sell us bottled water if we want. Can't say enough how this venue treated us. The really went above and beyond. They were as excited as we were since this was the biggest thing they had ever had.
So they decided to let us into the show as soon as soundcheck is done to get us out of the basement. So we were in there for 2.5 hours before the show started which was def tough. It got pretty hot but i think everyone was ok. They decided to have Ryan do an acoustice set so they could get us inside faster. He was amazing as always. He has certainly made a fan out of me and just the David and the band he and his band are def getting better see my Memphis recap hehe. So when Ryan does an acoustic set he always does this one song and sorry I can't remember which it is that someone plays tambourine. So he asked this little girl whose birthday it was to do it. Oh and I ended up 2nd row right in front of Neal as you can probably tell from my pictures. Great banter all night as David was extremely chatty. Asking for a beer from the stage and then confusing them by saying something about ice tea and water so they brought him 3 drinks and he was trying to juggle them as prob seen in the vids better than I can describe. Guys were great as always and loved the tshirt he had on. Sorry I couldn't twiiter but you guys know the signal in there was crappy and I had no service the whole show so just took pics. Wasn't really a good place for meeting fans so the guys jumped in an suv and went back to the hotel probably. So I waited to get a picture with Ryan since I hadn't managed to have my camera last time. So made the long trek to get back to my car and by this point we had been standing for around 4 hours for the show and whatever we did all day in line so I was physically hurting badly. So drove back tword the venue and found a couple of friends that needed a ride to thier hotel and we headed there and at that point I was still considering driving Memphis. I got myself into the lobby of the hotel and they convinced me not to drive since I wasn't making sense and was really shaky so sat in the hotel lobby and the guy at the front desk suggested we order some take out food and handed us a menu. So we figure out and order and he calls it in for us and said it would take an hour. We decide to stay down in the lobby and wait for it because we didn't want to miss it or something and we all just needed a rest for sure. So after a bit turns out we ended up in the same hotel as the guys cause Neal comes down. After talking to him my friends had convinced me that I better stay put and offer me to stay in thier room so then we grab my stuff from the car and I start downloading pics and stuff while we wait for food cause I'm dedicated like that lol. So just as our food shows up and we go to the front desk to get it David is there checking out of the hotel. Slowly but surely the rest come down cause they are getting ready to get on the bus and head to memphis. So after eating some very crappy take out food I still had to bring my friends back to thier car and after that we headed up and went to bed after I cued up my vids to youtube.
So show was great line was a bit scarry at times but the venue rocked. Can't say enough about the square room in Knoxville. Everyone who was at that show should send them a big thank you. Was a pretty tough physical day though but in the end it was amazing as always anytime your in the presence of the David and the guys who better annouce there name soon.
