Make a Donation to Race for Hope get a "Thank You Concert DVD"

Average: 5 (4 votes)

Ok, here it is. The OFFICIAL post with ALL the info for making your donations and sending the postage and handling money.

In an effort to help push David Cook PAST his $50,000 goal at Race for Hope, I'm offering the following incentive. As many of you know, I've been to a number of David Cook concerts and have been lucky enough to have captured some rather nice video of said concerts. Here's my proposal. For every $10.00 you donate to Race for Hope, I will send you a nice little "thank you gift." Said thank you gift will be a DVD of concert videos. One (1) DVD (concert) for EACH $10.00 donation. You can choose from COMPLETE sets from either concert in Atlantic City's Borgata Hotel and Casino and complete sets from The Square Room in Knoxville, TN or Minglewood Hall in Memphis, TN. That's ONE (1) concert for every $10.00 donation.

For a $50.00 donation, I will offer the following: All FOUR (4) concerts, PLUS, the videos from Fulton, MO (set is only missing Light On and A Daily Anthem), PLUS will give you the choice of EITHER a DVD of the partial set of Biloxi, MS vids OR CD's of the mp3's I've made from ALL of my videos. However, the only mp3 from Memphis is "The World I Know". The bass line was SO heavy that night that there is just TOO much distortion for me be satisfied with the quality of them.

PLEASE, make sure you have viewed the videos you choose. I don't want there to be ANY surprises when your DVD'S arrive. You can view my videos on my youtube channel, but I'll post the playlists here in this post to make it easier for everyone.

To make your donation, please visit: My Participant's Page. Make your donation in what ever $10.00 increment you choose. THEN, go to PayPal and send me $7.50 (sorry, had to increase to help cover cost of shipping envelopes and postage) to cover the cost of shipping and handling and replacement DVD's. Send the money to angelangiekc@yahoo.com and in the comments section, tell me WHICH concert you want. If you are choosing the $50.00 set, also tell me whether you want Biloxi vids or mp3 CD's as part of your bonus. At that point, you will ALSO need to provide a shipping address. Only do this in the PayPal screen. It will help me keep things organized.

While I WILL be attending the local Kansas City concert, I can NOT include videos from that concert in this offer as THEY DON'T EXIST YET! Since I never know what kind of video I'll be able to capture at any given show, I can't, in good conscience, offer you something I don't yet have. (Reports of Camera-nazis at the Ameristar are making decent vids look less and less likely.)

International buyers? I don't mind shipping internationally, but I would need a bit more to cover the expense. I'll have to check on the actual shipping cost. However, my DVD's are formated in NTSC, which is the US Region encoding. I DO have the option for encoding in PAL, however, I have NO way of verifying if the DVD's actually WORK after I've burned them. It would make me VERY nervous to send out untested DVD's to people overseas. HOWEVER, if you have a region free DVD player, you SHOULD be able to play NTSC encoded DVD's.

Here are the videos. Please take a moment to check them out so there will be no surprises when DVD's arrive.

Partial set from Biloxi, The Beau Rivage Hotel and Casino
Beau Rivage Playlist

Fulton, MO - Westminster College (missing Light On and Adam BUT has the video of Terry, the assistant light tech)
Fulton, MO Playlist

Atlantic City, The Borgata Hotel and Casino - Friday Night (COMPLETE set including all banter)
Borgata - Friday Night Playlist

Atlantic City, the Borgata Hotel and Casino - Saturday Night (also a COMPLETE set)
Borgata - Saturday Night Playlist.

Knoxville, TN - The Square Room
The Square Room - Knoxville Playlist

Memphis, TN - Minglewood Hall
Minglewood Hall - Memphis, TN

If you have ANY questions, PLEASE post them here or in my LJ and I'll do my best to get them answered. I will begin on your individual thank you gifts once I've received the shipping and handling money through PayPal.

I donated already under David Cook Team in the amount of $100.00 dollars. But i'm willing to donate another $50.00 dollars under your name with your offer the following 4 concerts videos. Plus the videos from Fulton, Mo. and you will give me my choice either DVD or CD's of the MP3's you made in Biloxi (only partial you said). But my question is can i send you a check ? Because i don't have a PAY PAL but i have some other major credit cards. Which i used when i donated the $100.00 under David Cook's name. And the second question can you put all together all my DVD's or CD's incase you said yes?

My name is Jasmin Laguerta you can see my name under David's Team. I wish you answer me ASAP. I was in Atlantic City during the Declaration Tour for 2 nights. And going to the Musikfest on Aug. 3. By the way i love all your videos. And all the ideas to help our AI winner David Cook to Race For Hope i admire you for that and YOU ROCK AND YOU ARE THE BEST.

The $7.50 shipping and handling charge is per each donation, UNLESS you donate enough to qualify for MULTIPLE complete sets. At that point, I'd asked you to please send $15.00 to help cover the cost of mailing 12 plus DVD's.

Thanks,
Angie

they don't even know what it is to be a fan. y'know?
to truly love some band, or some silly little piece of music, so much that it hurts.

Hi Angie,

I just wanted to check how much the postage is for International shipping? (To the UK).

As soon as you're able to confirm, I'll sort the Paypal + Charity payments out, although I understand you're really busy now!!!

Many, many thanks!

Angela, do we join your team, pay the registration fee for virtual runners, and then add an additional amount to qualify for one of your DVD packages?

Hi, Angie ~

How wonderfully generous of you to encourage donations for David's favorite cause with this enticement! I, too, had already donated ... David is hard to refuse, too ... lol, so I donated that very first day as (a very small) part of the $10,000 goal we met that night. But to be able to see Dave in concert on a big screen (I don't have software to make my own DVDs), oh, how that is SO well worth another donation!

Thank you so much in advance. I will anxiously look forward to receiving all the awesomeness that is Rockgod!Dave LIVE in the mail whenever you get to make my set. I'm sure you are buried in responses. (What! You didn't expect to be ... lol?)

Angie I gave 50.00 awhile back does that count or do I have to give again? I would love a DVD of the Atlanta concert Friday night. What are your rules exactly?

I was planning on donating anyway....this pushed me to get my a** in gear.

Angie, I have not been able to attend any of the concerts yet. I feel so fortunate to be able to experience some of the awesomeness of David and his band through the videos his wonderful fans share with the rest of us. Yours are specially wonderful. So what I've done is donate some of what I would have spent on concerts, if I could have gone, to Dave's team already. But you make an offer I cannot refuse, so I'm in. Thank you for spending the time on this.

I am setting up a pay pal account and will make a second donation. Thanks.

Angie, this is a great offer. I had donated already (as a virtual runner), but this inticed me to donate another $50.00. I'll take the Biloxi videos as my "bonus". I just have to get my paypal account password straightened out and will send the shipping money.

I gave $ to David's team back before the total hit $10,000 in exchange for a set of Season 7 dvds that one of our TWoP ladies offered to do in exhange for a donation to the charity of our choice. I think that this is a very good idea, and I applaud you for doing it. I don't know if I can give again, but brava for creativity for a good cause!

You guys are more than welcome. Guess it's a good thing I have the next 4 nights off from work huh?

And Sasha, I KNOW you can figure out YouTube. You're a young, hip, fashionista. That tiny little bit of technology should be WELL within your purview. Think of it as a new option for online shopping. hehe MWAH!

No one is stealing ANYTHING from me. People have been asking for DVD's of the shows and offering to pay for them. I just, in all good conscience DO that. But THIS? Makes me happy. I FINALLY found a way to help out that is unique to ME and yet is something that others want. AND it will make OTHER people happy, too.

Angie, you rock! I've already donated for Dave's team but how can I pass this up? I'll take Door #3 for $50 and send you payment as soon as I have time to view everything (darn - what a chore!) and decide which I want.

Hope to meet you a week from tonight!

Seriously, you rock. What a wonderful gesture of grace and generosity, Angie. *tips hat at your heart and generosity*

Um, so I guess this means I have to learn how to do paypal. Heh.

I already gave, but hey, I can give up Starbucks for another week or two. This is a really generous, thoughtful, creative idea - I have a feeling you are going to be one busy woman. Thanks so much for putting this together.

I'm impressed - thank you for this effort.

I was going to donate $50 anyway - I feel like I'm stealing something by taking you up on this. I'll let you know after I donate because I really want the AC Friday night video as that was my show.
