Mr. Cowell . . . . .

I was just thinking about Randy, Paula and Simon, especially last year. When I first watched AI years ago, I thought Simon was horrible, nasty and cruel. Now I don't believe this at all. As David said, he gets paid to be brutally honest, and yes, sometimes what he says is very hurtful. He seems to have mellowed some over the years, and now I get a kick out of what comes out of his mouth! The truth hurts at times. Don't know why I felt like saying this Smiling Actually, when I watch the videos of last year and listen to his remarks, I crack up laughing! Even when he isn't funny! He dares to be honest, "only an opinion.." as he said to David after I forget which song, and the amazing apology on the night that David won.

I agree with you Karen. I began to watch AI just because of Simon. The Art Dean in the College I work, talked about him and how he liked what he said on the show.
At first I didn´t like him. I thought he was too cruel. But after S7, I see things differently. He´s doing his job and somehow I think he´s getting softer. And I also think nobody in S8 is really listening to him.... although they should....
