I was invited to go to NYC by my friend Kateland for the concert at Nokia, the meet and greet, GMA, and Regis and Kelly, all of which I got to go to! And I think those days were the best four days of my life!

So, I get off the plane to New York around noon. Kateland and I were just about going insane the whole plane ride, but we finally got there. So we immediately drop off our bags at the hotel and rush to JCP. We get there and the line already looks huuuuge, and we were like WOW. This dude gives us blue wristbands, which were for the second hundred group of people, but we were like 110 or so. So, we wait and wait and wait and wait for what seems like foreeeeever, and the line moves up, but David's still not here. He finally get's there at 4:42 because of that Mets game (It's okay David, I still love you ) And the line starts going. While in line, Kateland's got her Axium CD, and is holding on to it, but at one point, she drops it. D: Fortunately, only the front part breaks and she can just replace that. So, we continue waiting. They're letting people down in group of 10 at a time, and of course, we're first in our group of ten. We don't want to be first cause we're reaking out, so we let a few people that were behind us in front of us. So, they let us down the escalator, and we see David, and he looked SO CUTE. And Andrew was there too behind the table, and he was adorable! So, we wait for it to be our turn, and finally it is. David looks us up and down (And I'm like thinking "Whaaaaat's he looking aaaat?") and gives us this adorbale wave! ♥ And he says "You two girls" -(BOTH OF US? I've never met him, only a little wave?!)- "look very, VERY familiar..." And Kateland is like "I made you this!" without even responding and hands her the scrapbook she made. He opens the first page and says "That's it!" And does all this adorable hand-slam-on-the-table, point, and adorableness action. And so he looks at the scrapbook and is impressed, and Andrew's looking over his shoulder. In all the pictures, Andrew's creeping around in the background lol. So a few seconds later, when he's done withg the scrapbook, Kateland hand's him her axium CD, (which she made look like she didn't purposely break xD), and he was really impressed, showed it to Andrew and Kateland said something along the lines of "It's genuine!" And he's like "I can tell!" And my friend words to David Cook: "I feel like such a slacker, not having an Axium CD or anything!" I'm not sure if I even meant to say it! xD But he's like "You should!" and laughs. x] And so Kateland also gets her Royals hat signed and hugs him and waves at Andrew. Then I hand him my CD, and I'm like "Will you put 'I ♥ Olivia'?" and he's like "Yeah, yeah of course." And I see him write it, but then he starts writing more, smaller. I'm thinking "Whaaaat's he wriiiiiting?!" He hands me my CD and starts cracking up. Under I ♥ Olivia, he added in parentheses, "(slacker)". So of course we both laughed, and I think I said something else to him but I don't remember what... I barely remember this cause I was so like AAAAH! But I get quiet and shy when I'm excited like that, I wasn't like freaking out on David. but so, I get a hug, and it was like THE BEST HUG EVER. ♥ Even if it was over a table. So, we say thanks and bye, and walk off, and I proceed to freak out over my CD. SO CUTE. AAAAAH! And Kateland was like "He was SO flirting with youuu!" SQUEEEE. ♥ But that's the story of the meet and greet.

The nest morning we wake up at 5AM to go to Regis and Kelly. Someone told us in line for the M&G that he was probably taping it today. So we get there before seven, and get in line for standby tickets, while Kateland's grandma gets in line at the concert, but the security guy said we probably wouldn't make it into the first show. We ask which one David's taping, and he says the first, but we can ask around and see if anyone has extra tickets. Then, Ms. May (Kateland's mom) is like "Look there's David." and points behind us, and there he is, with the whole band, walking in! Slowly too... we probably could've gotten their attention and met them/gotten pictures...but we were too in awe. So, we ask around for extra tickets, and we get two, so we go in with some nice ladies we'd actually met on the airport that were coming to see David from Charlotte too! Funny. But so, we're standing in line with them, and we're about to go in, and who do we see walking down the street? Andrew! We both wave and are like "Hey Andrew!" And he waves back, and Kateland asks for a hug. He's really hesitant, but he does, though he was in a real hurry, and rushed off before I could even get a chance to ask for one. He gets this other dude and walks inside. So, we go inside, get our bags checked, blah blah, and while we're waiting to go in, Ms. May pops up. She get a ticket too. So, we finally go inside, and btw, I'm wearing a To Have Heroes t-shirt that I made, and Ms. May wants a picture of us in front of Regis and Kelly's desk, so we do, and this woman is like "Is that To Have Heroes on your shirt as in Andy Skib?" And I'm like "Yeah!" And she's like "I love him!" And I'm like "ME TOOOO!" I think us three, those three women, and the other two we met before the plane were honestly the only DC fans in there. Nobosy knew he was pre-recording it. But then, we look around at the cue cards and such, and nothing says David Cook. The show starts, and David's not ont he first one. We asked this dude, and he said they switch audiences... SWITCH AUDIENCES? WE'RE IN THE WRONG SHOW?! So we were so sad, and so angry, but at the end of the show, the guy whose name I forget is like "If you have to leave, you can, but if you want to see the second show, you can stay." So we were like YAAAAAAY! And we moved seat's, so we had a better view. And the next show comes on, and sitting on the desk, Kelly's got a copy of DCTR, I was proud. x] But so, they come on, and they were FANTASTIC! I was like AEORJWEIPFNWLIE!!!!! David had that interview before, which I didn't know he was going to do, so it was nice, and talked about Dublin, and I was like AWWW. And they were fantastic! Unfortunately, there was no flash allowed, so my pictures are kinda blurry cause my camera's weird, plus I was so shakey, but it was an awesome experience. And so, we sit through the rest of the boring show.

Afterward, since David had already left, it's 11:30, so we rush to the concert. We take our place in line, and Ms. May gets us food. We eat, and wait. We made friends with the people around us, and I won't go into detail about that... but yeah. It was a looooong wait. So, we sit there until 6, when doors finally open, and we literally RUN in once we get indside the theater. We get third row, in between David and Andy, and we're right behind our firends, Jul and Nicole. And it's another hour and a half before GRO comes on, so we sit on the floor and wait, even if our butts were so sore from sitting all day, but it was better than standing. xD And we notice these people with a sign in the balcony, that says "David Cook eats little sparrows for breakfast." Does anyoneee understand...? Anyways, GRO FINALLY comes on, and they were FANTASTIC. Like seriously, I didn't expect them to be that good. During one song, Josh, my favorite, totally made eye contact with me for like 10 whole seconds, I was like aaaawwww. And while GRO is on, we notice Andrew, Neal, and ANDY ♥ watching behind the sound guys. Then there's the wait for David to come on, and it's like SUSPENSEFUL. But they finally did! And needless to say, they were breathtaking! And throughout the whole show, I think I stared at Andy more than Dave... xD At one point, Nicole said to Kateland "Olivia is totally staring at Andy, and he is totally staring back!" I didn't notice at all, I must've been totally in my own world with Andy. x] ♥ I got three pictures during the show of Andy looking staright at me! And we made eye contact a LOT more than three times, but yaknow. The majority of the time that Andy was looking at me, I was just trying to not die. And David brought Andrew and Jamey out on stage in the middle, and awwww. And during WOHWWS, Kateland gave David this adorable little finger wave, and he waved back! AWWW! That's one of the few times I looked away from Andy. xD And also, there was this woman, who wanted the olive from Dave's drink? LOL! Then later, she'd put it in a bottle and wanted to trade an olive in a bottle for a guitar pic. xD Too funny. David was like "You even have a container for it...?" LOL. But the concert was fantastic. Seriously, new best concert EVER. So then, we went out after the show and bought GRO CDs, got them signed and got a picture with the whole band. They were SO nice, and SO funny. Awesome guys, definately going to see them again soon! And then we were rushed along, so we went outside, and waited around to see if David and the boys were coming out. We saw Monty, who was totally not getting any love, so we went over and got a picture with him. He was really sweet! At first I wasn't so keen on him, but now I really like him! So, we continued to wait around until all the guys had left, and we were like awww. But then we see Josh, Geoff, and Denton from GRO, and we go over to them. Josh and Geoff were on the phone, but Denton was glad to take a picture with us, and he was soooo adorable! And nice. And pretty cool. Well, after that, we went back to the hotel, and showered. We hadn't eaten in 12 hours, or slept in 19, but that was okay, we went to get in line for GMA.

Do you know how cold it is in NY at 3 AM? VERY. We take a taxi over to central park, and get in line. We talk to these four other DC fans that were right behind us and these two others in front, and they were super nice, and made the next 5 hours go by fast. So, at 5:15, we start to go in, rightt as Kateland was about to leave to go to the closest bathroom, which was four blocks away at this gross convenince store. Fortunately, the line started moving before she left, and we made it in! Yay! It took FOREVER to get in the park, but we finally did. We were on the third row after the VIP, (so like, sixth row) in front of Neal. And watching them do soundcheck and goof off, so cute! I loved it. I love them. And guess who found me again? Andy! He looked at me a lot during GMA tooo! I got two more pictures of him looking in my camera. Awwww ♥ I love Andy so much. For the longest time, he's rivaled David in the how much I love them competition, but I'm honestly not sure who's winning currently... Andy got major points for staring at me half the concert, and again at GMA. Though, he kept coughing, while they weren't playing, and I was like AWWWW ANDY! And at one point, I read his lips saying "I don't have my voice." Is Andy sick!? Awww. D: He was tired too, and let out this huuuuuge yawn. And I can't go into detail about all the adorable things they did, but it was awesome. They soundchecked CBTM twice or so, and Heroes once. Also, Little lies a couple times. It was cute, David was teaching it to Adam and Kris, and Kris at one point raised his hand to ask a question. lol! How cute. And I'm obviously a HUGE David fan, but out of Adam anf Kris, before GMA, I'd pick Adam, but afterward, not so much. Adam was disappointing. He was shy, not NEARLY as pretty as on TV, and the song he sang was not good. D: I don't like Kris's voice so much, but he's better live than on TV, unlike Adam. :\ So I left GMA being more of a Kris fan than an Adam. And possibly more of an Andy fan that David... Am I awful? Anyways, it was AWESOME and I got a billion and a half amazing pictues, which I'll get posted soon!

So, I'm not sure what else I need to say... I know I've forgotten a TON, but it's okay... There's tons of other recaps out there. I'm still SQUEE-ing every time I think about it though.
