New York for My Birthday

I don't know if it will be possible or not but I am trying really hard to go to New York to see David on November 12th. What a great birthday present that would be, spending the evening with My Idol.
I have a free airline ticket but am trying to find some decent accomodations for "cheap" or "free". I have some people looking into their frequent reward programs and they may "gift" me a couple of nights, which would be great.
My hubby told me if I was to go to take all of my belongings cause I was not allowed back home. Oh well. I have a guitar now, I can live on the street and sing for money!!!
I just know that when David starts his solo tour, he most likely will not be nearly as accessible as he was on the AI tour. This event will be very casual and intimate and possibly the last time I am able to get close to him.
Oh yea, another issue is, I have my finals for nursing school on November 17th and right now I am not passing so those days I would be gone, I really should be home studying. What a choice - David Cook or Cardiac Dysfunctions????? David Cook for sure!!!!

Maybe you could do a home swap of some sorts. This way you wouldn't need to pay for a hotel. Also you could look into auto club or military discounts. Can you pls let me know more about the concert. I believe the tickets cost 150. Where in nY does it take place? What is the likelihood of meeting DC. I like how the evening supports a worthy cause.

Have you thought about maybe asking an NYC word nerd to let you crash at their place for a couple of nights? So many folks live in NYC that I'm sure there are a bunch of New Yorkers on this site. Some folks at the U2 site used to let fellow fans visiting the city crash at their houses all the time. Don't see why the word nerds wouldn't be just as nice
As for the studying...have you thought about taking your study materials with you? You could study on the plane and during the times you're not with David. Or alternatively, you could study ahead of time. That's what I would do if I were you.
