What an amazing artist - vocalist, musician, lyricist/songwriter - and how fortunate we are to have had his music bring such beauty into our lives. David Cook is only 26 years old, and has writing credit on the 91 songs listed here, sole writing credit on 36 of those. Eight Axium songs were unreleased, and we've heard only A Daily AntheM, We're Only Honest, and that tease snippet of Better Never Than Late from his unreleased second solo album. In addition, a number of songs were written that didn't make the Album-David Cook; so far we've heard only Souvenir. Here is as complete a discography of David Cook's song-writing credits as I have so far been able to compile from resources I could access as a fan.

David was a very talented, thoughtful and intelligent lyricist and songwriter, even in his earliest writings. I absolutely loved his pre-Idol music from the moment I first heard it last year. I remember what it meant to me, what it did for me at a very low time in my life. If this will be your first time hearing some of these wonderful songs, I hope they bring as much joy to you as they have to me for more than a year and a half.

I included youtube links for all available songs, except those on DCTR. (I will be adding links for live performances of those songs soon.) This list includes songs he wrote from the time he was 15 years old to the present. The earliest known recording of each song is numbered. Songs listed under released albums are in tracklist order.
