Cook: "Look, let's have a little conversation here. . . " A pair of pink panties hits him in the face. "Great. Look guys . . ."
BTW - when are we gonna name your fan club. How's about "KDC and the Funshine Fan?"
Thought I'd give YOU a little present for all you've given us...
Cub reporter, Archucookie, was further on down the beach just before all this took place.
Dave Cook is strolling along an ocean shore when a man in an English driving cap approaches. "Excuse me Mr. Cook. Mr. Archuleta would like a word, if you please."
Cook: "Oh, hi Jeff. Sure. Where is Archie?"
Jeff leads David to a beach chair where Archie lies with his eyes closed, wearing a swim suit (boxer length) and holding a fruit (and only fruit) drink with a little umbrella in it. He is surrounded by several, young, verbally challenged fangirls. One is sprawled nearby, making beach-snow-angels while another sits coyly, repeatedly drawing a question mark in the sand.
Archie: "Dad! You're blockin' my rays again. Oh. Hey, Cooook."
Cook: "Hey, Arch. You takin' a vacay too? Looks like you couldn't shake your fans though, huh?"
Archie rolls his eyes: "I know. Dang it! Well, hey," (he reaches under his chair and pulls up a package) "Merry Christmas and ahh, happy birthday."
Cook, as he unwraps: "Same to you, man. If I knew you were gonna be here, I'd of brought yours."
DC pulls a T-shirt out and looks at the front where it says, 'My other shirt has a rat and a donkey on it.' "Awesome," David says as he removes his jaunty hat and pulls the shirt on. "Thanks. Say, did you do anything special for your eighteenth?"
Archie unbuttons his shirt: "Yeah. Believe it or not I got a tat at Carly's." He points to his chest where we see a dolphin with the words 'Salty - 2008' under it. Cook lifts an eyebrow.
A couple of well-endowed beach bunnies walk by. Cook rubs his hands together: "Well it was great seein' ya Arch." The Davids hug. "But I really need some down time right now."
Archie peers at the bikini clad ladies from the corners of his eyes.
The question marking girl squees: "Look! It's Nessie!"
Cook laughs: "I'm sure glad my fans haven't found out where I am. Good luck with yours."
David heads back down the beach and we see the back of his T has an arrow on it and reads 'I'm with Namesake.'
Archie pulls out his wireless laptop: "Hmmm. What was that password. Oh yeah, Idol08. Hehe. Suck it Cook."
