CONTEST #1: Last Man Standing
Pick the winner of Season 8 American Idol.
By Tuesday at 8:00PM EST, March 17, 2009, enter your choice of 2 contestants that will make the final 2 and the winner in the comments section below. Voting will close at the beginning of Tuesday, March 17th's performance episode.
The Rules Have Been Updated II.
Many a good contestant went down last night including Alexis Grace. Since it wasn't yet Top 10 we are giving everyone a reprieve. If you lost last night, you may select a second winner up until Top 7 week but for the reduced points of that week. This is a one time do over, like the judges save, so choose sagely.

You may change your vote until the above date and time. Please enter a new comment if you change your choice (so we can find it:) ).
We've updated the rules to accommodate people joining the contest late...
If you enter your choices for the winner and runner-up prior to the time the Top 11 begin singing (the original deadline) you will be eligible for 5 points and 4 points if you are correct. If you choose to wait to make your selections the available points will be reduced by 1 point for each week thereafter until Top 7.
All selections are due prior to 8:00pm est on the date in question. So the deadlines and the available points are:
March 17, Top 11-Winner=5 points, Runner-up=4 points
March 24, Top 10- Winner=4 points, Runner-up=3 points
March 31, Top 9- Winner=3 points, Runner-up=2 points
April 7, Top 8-Winner=2 points, Runner-up=1 point
April 14, Top 7-Winner=1 point, Runner-up= 0 points
Also, until you choose the winner and runner up you are not eligible for bottom three bonus points or going home points.

I went out on a limb with my first vote with Alexis as my original winner...obviously that didn't work out too well for me, or her. So my vote is now: Top 2- Danny and Adam; WInner- Adam
