David Cook's Light On Challenge

No way you can sing as well as David Cook, but hey, you can always give it a shot. We’re asking you to create a video of yourself rocking a rendition of Cook’s new hit, "Light On." You can sing it with a ukulele, sing it a cappella, or sing it with a full-blown band – it’s up to you. It’s your chance to show the world how down you are with David. And guess what? The singer himself may very well comment on it.
Getting this done is easy. Upload your clip onto VH1.com , and then take the resulting embed code and paste it below. Visitors to both sites will be able to view, comment on, and rate your efforts.
David encourages you to put a spin on his song – that’s how he rolls. Check the video above for a short musical lesson from the master himself. He’s also going to be keeping an eye on all those creative clips that wind up right here. Don’t be shocked if he weighs in on which ones tickle him most on his personal blog and on VH1.com. You will be able to upload your videos through December 2.

my husband taped it this morning-and I thought it was funny so I put it on youtube-my first youtube vid! Another first for me courtesy of David Cook. So, if you like, check out our Cookified kids singing their favorite song. Or anyway, the chorus of their favorite song several times.
It's kind of the slacker mom response to the Light On Challenge. Two months too late and pretty haphazard, and I am taking a cue from some other smart mommies I see here and skipping the whole VH1 part. Little Sammy (2) was distracted-he saw Henry was wearing a necklace with a medal on it and decided he wanted his and walked off right in the middle. Poor Henry(5)has a cold but I loved how he kept going anyway-and going, and going...And he totally mimics David moves all the time. So anyone who is actually still looking at these things-Enjoy!

OMG - or, to put it another way &#*#@!$*!!!!!!!! Okay, FORGET me trying to upload it. Just go about five posts down and you'll see it. David Cook, can you make me feel any more like an idiot??? Being 46 and technically-challenged SUCKS (to use Reba's word). LOL. Well, I did my best. Please look about five posts below or, if by some miracle, this one works....YAY ME!

Ok, so it's obvious I don't know what I'm doing. Anyhow, I cut out all the "I SUCK" parts and pieced it together...as I said below, you'll see my hatchet job...Reba has been getting good ratings with the youtube link, but I wanted to try to do this the way it was intended. I thought it was okay for being at the last minute! Originally my friend and i were going to do a duet and she was going to play the keyboard however she dislocated her jaw which doesnt work well when you are trying to sing. So, please vote nicely, i learned this in less than 2 weeks, and is my first song attempt at singing AND playing. Light On Challenge - take 1
Here is my first try at Light On from a few weeks ago. I wanted to redo it but I got a cold and I've been waiting for it to go away. I redid it yesterday but now I can't get it up to either youtube or vh1. Since today is the deadline, I'll enter this one and keep working on trying to get the other one up.
