I have been wondering this since Light On was released and the fandom was rather split on it. I messaged David about it, but clearly this is a better forum for the question. Also, I'd like to expand it to be broader, to include such things as fan criticism of the current tour:
I was wondering if you could address the issue of fan criticism on your album and the tour? There seems to be two strong positions being taken: 1) You are your own toughest critic and a perfectionist, and therefore are interested in hearing all fan feedback (including negative) so that you can improve your product, and 2) Fans should present a united front in support of you and your first major album and tour, to ensure the longest possible lifespan for your music.
I can truly see both sides of this impassioned argument. Do you care to weigh in?
