First and foremost - David and the band look and sound beyond amazing (censoring other less family friendly expressions of sheer um... adoration, yes, we'll call it adoration). I could watch/listen to them all day and as soon as the album drops, I will!! Listen at least.
Having said that, unfortunately what hits me hardest is how totally off the story line part of the video is. It's not just that it doesn't support the song - and David's mature passion that pours out of him when he sings - it is actually at war with the music. It's as if they dug into the "generic teeny bopper music video footage vault" and came up with the most vanilla flavored cotton candy pap they could find and just stuck it into an otherwise great video at random moments. Maybe it all makes sense to the artists ... but it sure leaves me cold.
Bottom line - horrible - can't watch this again. Would someone please edit out the wretched puppy love crap and just give me grown-up, passionate David and his rockin' band ... PLEASE???!!
