I can't believe it has been almost a year since we were introduced to David Cook on season 7. Every week I have become more and more invested in him as a performer and as a person. For some reason this blog brings tears to my eyes. It is kind of like when someone you respect notices that you have done something well. How nice to be appreciated for no more than enjoying the music. So, David, thank you. Thank you for your voice. Thank you for your easy smiles and your hearty laughs. Thank you for your emotions that you let us see and even more share and feel. Thank you for your talent. With every passing day I appreciate you more and more as both an artist and as simply a really good person. You are a hero in my book and I hope you will still be standing for a very long time to come.
