I liked the lyrics to this song the first time I read them. I thought it was about a relationship between a guy and girl, like alot of others who have on different blogs. But then I read more into it. Maybe its not about that at all. Maybe its about leaving home for all of this new found fame and how he misses home and he knows those at home will miss him too, but he still has to go...leave a light on, so I can find my way hme..... The line' you dont know how much it hurts to leave tho only one I believed in' makes my bawl.... it sounds so lonely. David is telling a story that can be taken many ways and that is what makes him a good songwriter........ Okay Im rambling way to much...... anyway......the more you think about the song, the more you think about the song....try it! Luanne
