Casino Rama, Orillia, On - Nov 16 UPDATED with Seating Chart
Here's a link to Rama Seating Chart. Thanks so much to ItzMeRenee for getting this up. Our names are on the side legend and correspond to the #'s on the chart. Let us know if there are more of you out there! Remember to click on 'enlarge' to see it better.

Thanks to Sandy Mowbray (MOM2HandH) for making the dinner reservation in the Couchiching Court Buffet for about 30 people.
thanks photogirl52 for the link to the venue:

Here's link to ticketmaster - tickets still available...let's get this show SOLD OUT!
http://www.ticketmaster.ca/event/10004327AE012F18?artistid=1289420&major...
So glad the Brits are coming!
PER CANADADCFAN:
"Everyone going to Rama... don't forget to go on to their website and sign up for a Players Pass. It doesn't matter if you are never going to go back again. but on the day you pick it up you get $20 credit for any of the coffee shops or restaurants... Hey who can't use $20 of free lunch or dinner."
There's no charge for the Players' Pass. Other perks that the Passport gets you - able to buy advanced tickets and discount on meals in the restaurants. If you are a "high roller" (i.e. you bet a lot) you can also get promos on hotel stays and a chance at the best seats for free.
At Seneca Niagara Casino even though it was "sold out", they put more tickets on sale the afternoon of the concert. These were much better seats than what we were able to get through Ticketmaster the first day of ticket sales and had been the complimentary tickets held for High Players that weren't needed.

So David himself announced the date! Casino Rama is 1.5 hour drive north of Toronto.

In the middle of Andy and David..awesome!!!

I may very likely have an extra ticket for this concert. Row 3, Andy side - if anyone knows of anyone looking for a single ticket let me know.
Can't wait for tomorrow! Will see you all around 6ish.
Thanks for setting "a place" for some last-minute guests at the buffet- and not to worry about making noise and showing our appreciation for David and the guys - it's all I can do to stop from squeeing with glee while sitting in my hotel room this evening.
See you all soon!
ETA: Just looked at my watch after typing the 1st part and realized it's 24 hours away!!!!!
Hi All!!
Believe it or not we do actually have 30 commited for dinner, but no worries at all the more the merrier and we'll just squish in some more chairs. Last night at Windsor the staff were fascinated by our group (only 10 last night) and how we all know each other, plus when the buffet first opens (assuming it's similar to last night) it's pretty empty so lots of room to throw some more tables in the mix, plus it's a weekday so not so busy.
TOMORROW!!!!
let's make lots of noise to show the band how awesome his Canadian fans are, i thinking he may be doubting it a tiny bit after last nights crowd.

I was going to "tagalong" to the buffet dinner too sans invitation 'cause I'm pushy that way. lol
I'll be the idiot I mean fan in the red pyjama top with the words "rock star" emblazoned on it in silver (not puffy) paint. Send all objections to follia. She assured me it would be at least as appropriate as the twinset and pearls I had originally planned on wearing. heh

MOM2HANDH correct me if I'm wrong, but the buffet dinner reservation is for about 30 ppl and I don't think we have that many committed. Cookfantoo, definitely meet us there 5:00.
Look forward to it.
We need some guidance from the Windsor ppl. There's pics showing the crowd standing right up against the stage. Rama warns front row seats that their view may be obstructed if the artist "invites" the crowd to come forward. I say we storm the stage at the opg riff and just stay there throughout.
Can't imagine that DC would object and I say why wait to be invited! How did it work in Windsor?
Also sounds like a walkabout in Windsor - right to the back! Hope that happens in Rama even if I am at the front. Very cool for all.
Neal tweeted he was looking for a snow drunk; but weather way too nice, don't think we can accommodate.
Wonder if they'll hit the Santa Claus parade enroute?????
See y'all reeeaaalll soon!

hello Capt cha
Countdown to Rama - only two more sleeps.
Took me a while to commit to this one - even though I bought the tickets in September as "insurance" since it was taking too long for the Ottawa venue to be announced - plus I knew I'd be in Toronto for a work-related conference.
I am going (was there really ever any doubt?) but this time doing it solo. Have been reading about dinner at the casino with fans from DCO etc. and wondering if it's too late to "tag along?
babyboomer; not sure of your financial status, but you'll notice a big hole in the seating chart, front centre. These seats will be held for the high rollers and will likely be put on sale, the day of the concert. If you get to the Casino earlier in the day, you might be able to buy a 2nd set of seats in a fabulous location. Although the venue isn't large. I sat in the very last row for James Taylor and it was still great.
Didn't hear the cellcast tonight, but sounds like it was great.
See y'all in less than 48 hours!

CanadaDCFan: Yes, I am going, but I have crappy seats in the back and the side. I just got them as I needed to re-arrange my teaching schedule first - I teach on Monday evenings. It's the second time this has happened. Anyhow, in a way it's better for me on the tiered seating as I am sort of short. It's better for the hubby who did a major eye-roll about another DC concert- What are you talking about? We just saw him in March? But, we need to go- it's just Rama; no crossing the border; hopefully no snow and he won't be on tour for a long time again (I reply). Well, maybe he'll come to TO directly next time and I will get better seats. Anyhow, really looking forward to my DC fix.
Hi there!
I have an extra ticket for Casino Rama as my friend just dropped out. F3 Row 3 Seat 10. She bought it for $120 USD but is willing to sell it for $50.
Let me know!
bookgirl
Getting excited. Started packing last night!!! Looks like really good seats. Thx CDCF

"When your smile becomes the reason I breathe"
Just got caught up on this thread. It had been a couple of weeks since I had read it.
Love the seating chart!! You can add me...F5, row 7 seat 4 and am attending solo.
I am very bummed that The Script will not be opening. The date was on their website last month. It would be great if that meant that DC plays longer though.
Thanks for the venue info...great to know what to expect!!
Not sure what time I'll be arriving up there (I'm driving up from Toronto) so can't commit to dinner but if I'm there early enough, I'll try to pop over to say hello.
babyboomer are you going to this show?

No opening act doesn't mean we will get a "surprise" guest... I think expectations need to be managed. I may just mean there is no opening act and that's all.
With the Ottawa show there was a lot of speculation about the opening act when the Script and Ryan Star pulled out, especially with Jeremy Taggart there. It led to a lot of unmet expectations. I think the best way to proceed is expect a great show from David, and not speculate about any suprises etc. Even if he alludes to them as he has been doing.

I think it's pretty common for Casino's to not get opg acts. Nothing at Casino Niagara either. They want you in/out and betting at the tables/slots!

.
Just checked The Script website and they are not listed for David's show at Casino Rama (seems like the only show they are not going to?)... somehow Ottawa and Orillia don't get the usual high quality DC opening act. Too bad I would have loved to see The Script or better yet see GRO again. l loved them in Ohio.

FYI guys- I just heard for the first time today a radio add for the Rama concert on my way to work on 680 news. Now, what I would like to know is if this add has been on chumfm- good demographic to target, no? Anyone heard anything on chum. This add began with a snippet from BBS of all things, good thing I had a strong grip on the steering wheel, LOL.
Very interesting! Centre section first few rows...empty...saved for High rollers???? Maybe wonderful seats available day of!!
Renee, bittersweetone has F5 Row 1, seats 1&2

Ok girls, the seating chart has been updated! I hope I got it right this time. Let me know if anything needs to be adjusted/corrected/added. You may need to refresh to see the updated version.

DCO = David Cook and the only reason I am here.
Hi Polarbrrr yes, you are right... your seats in F3 Row 15 seat 1 and 2 would be closest to F4 Row 15 seat 16.
itzmerenee: we appreciate you making the seating chart.. I guess you just got lost in a davetrance while making it.... it can't be helped! Looking forward to seeing the new seating chart.
coolbecks... I have sent you pm's about the tickets... need to hear back from you. thanks..

Hey all! Just adding my seats to the chart. We have F3 row 15, seats 1 & 2. *waves to cdnlovesdc and DCfanfromMO* which I've been assuming are on the aisle closest to F4. Am I right CanadaDCFan? Ticketb*st*rd was supposed to be giving me "best available" and when I checked later increasingly higher numbered seats kept coming up in the same row. So....??

Renee, thanks again for the seating chart. It's fun to see where we all are sitting!
I was at Rama last night to see Roger Hodgson (SuperTramp). HUGE stage (40 piece symphony orchestra, 18 voice choir, 4 backup singer + 4 piece rock band). Drummer was behind plexiglas, Neal side...NOBODY PUTS KYLE IN A CORNER!
As CanadaDCFan says, stage is quite high and Floor level first row (just padded dining chairs linked together) is about 6 feet away from stage...but no barrier. Rama warns first row inhabitants that they may have obstructed view if the artist invites the audience to come forward and stand. We all know DC will invite...if we're not already there!
Behind about 18 rows of floor seats is the sound board, then raised stadium seating with metal stairs and floor, which makes a great sound when you stomp on it, waiting for HIM to encore (hint hint). Not a bad seat in the house and the sound was very good. Still tickets available in the tiered sections.
It was great seeing David's face all over the Casino, advertising this show. Toronto radio stations are finally advertising it too.
Roger was sold out and a very dedicated & enthusiastic middle aged crowd...mostly men! However, everyone sat througout except for some standing ovations...then sat down again. He invited people to come forward around his 2nd to last song and everyone jumped up then. With 3 song encore, the show lasted 2 hours! Don't think we'll be getting that tho'.
I noticed many security asking people to put away their cell phones, but appeared to only bother people on the aisles...those that they could get to. Once people were standing up front, many had their cell phones up and recording and no one seemed to bother them. Didn't appear to be any checking for cameras or cells going in.
They are very strict about admitting only age 19+. If you look anything under 50 bring your photo ID. No ID, no entry to anywhere. My 20 year old friend didn't bother bringing her purse and had to wait in the hotel lobby - the only place she was allowed to be on the premises! What a drag!
Again seriously think about a Player's Pass. You can sign up for free and you get a $20 food voucher on the day that you pick up your pass (concert day?) If you have a Player's Pass, you get a discount on the Buffet (and possibly other venues there). The Buffet is $19.95 without a Pass, $16.95 with a Pass.
The Day's Inn is across the road and down a bit, but the entrance to the Casino is quite a walk in from the road itself. Wear comfy shoes for walking. Last night was wonderful weather, I didn't even bother with a jacket! But don't count on that 8 days from now!
So excited!

Sorry about the mistakes ya'll. I'll try to work on the chart again tonight, I'm working an 11 hour shift today. Hopefully have something revised by 10 tonight. =)

Hi, just checked this thread and I am in F3 row 15 seat 3. Am coming from St. Louis, Mo. Going to spend a few days at Niagra Falls after the concert. Looks like I may have a seat mate a couple of posts down. See you there!!
I would love to be at that concert so much. Orillia is about 10 hours by car from where i live. I would be so capable to drive until there and even alone just to see him a second time but i think i would put myself in trouble.....
Anyway, i wish you all a wonderful time, really. Have fun!!
Sure it will be a great concert, as Montreal was. Canada rocks and we love David Cook!!!
I think the seating chart is incorrect. From what I saw when I was there in October the seats run 1-16 from left to right. This means standing infront of the stage, the furthest left seat in F5 is #1 and the furthest right is #16. F5 Row 1 seat 16 would be closest to F4 Row 1 Seat 1. F4 Row 1 Seat 16 would be closest to F3 Row 1 Seat 1.
It looks like Renee has it going F5 Row 1 seat 16-1, F4 Row 1 Seat 16-1, F3 Row 1 Seat 16-1. I think its the opposite (ie 1-16 in each row).

hi all;
When we went to Seneca Niagara Casino last March, fan ItzmeRenee posted a seating chart of the venue. We all posted our seats in the thread and she updated as she received. It was a cool visual of where we were all sitting.
Renee is willing to do it for Rama and has a seating chart, but we don't know where y'all are sitting.
I'm F5 Row 1 seats 6-8.
Please post your seats in here and Renee will post on the seating plan. I'll insert in the OP for everyone to see.
just 11 days!!!!!!
Thanks

Hey everyone: In response to Swanny's question, I checked with Casino Rama today and they confirmed that seats are 1 to 16 (left to right )in EACH of F5 F4 and F3. I will correct my post.
Thanks for catching that Swanny.

CanadaDCFan : Same goes for F5 (Andy side) with 1-7 being roughly where Andy stands and 8-16 being to left of Andy.
I have a question about the form your post. I was under the impression that in all sections, the seats went 1-16 from left to right. so my impression was seats 8-16 would be where Andy stood in section F5 and seat 1 would be furthest away form him. Kind of like from left to right 1-16 aisle, 1-16 aisle, 1-16 etc.
So is this wrong? If it is, Crazy4you and i will be kicking ourselves cause we gave up F5 row 3 seats 1 and 2!
