"More of That...I like That!" How to Request LO From Almost Any Station Directly Through Mediabase *UPDATED w/CBTM & BBS Info*
For those of you who have been requesting Dave's singles regularly via phone/email/text, here's another quick and easy method to add to your arsenal.
You can submit online requests for any Mediabase-monitored station directly through Mediabase. The request form pulls the station's current playlist (you can request up to 5 songs at once), and you can also "write-in" up to three requests of songs not yet listed on their form. I just found the form for my local CHR, HAC, AC, ACT, and ALT stations (none of which are playing the new singles yet), and requested at all of them in just a couple minutes.
Here's how it works - Just click (or copy/paste) the link below and then replace the XXXX call-letters in the URL with the call-letters for your target station (you will need to include the FM or AM as appropriate). If your station is available, it will pull-up a form where you can submit your requests. Don't know your call-letters? Try Google, Wikipedia, or Radio-Locator.com if you can't find it on your station's website.
http://www.mediabase.com/mmrweb/7/stationplaylistrequest.asp?format=H1&c_let=XXXX-FM
Anyway, just thought his could be another good request method to work into our rotation of calls/emails/text requests. And as always, please be aware of some of the requesting guidelines discussed in the Spamalot Thread.
SPECIAL INFO REGARDING REQUESTS FOR CBTM AND BBS:
Here is a list of stations classified as Top 40 (CHR) or HAC, which is where CBTM will be going for adds. This list is sorted by radio market, and includes phone numbers and the names of the Programming and Music Directors at each station.
Please be aware that there are several different sub-formats within Rock, and not all are being targeted by RCA for the release of BBS. The two formats being impacted are Active Rock and Mainstream Rock. Click that link to view station information for these two sub-formats. If you have an Alternative or Classic Rock station in your area, they are not being targeted and will be far less likely to play the single, so your requesting energies would probably be better directed elsewhere.
As always, please read and follow the tips listed in the Spamalot Thread. These guidelines are more important than ever when dealing with Rock radio stations, who are likely to be very touchy about over-zealous fan behavior. Please use your best judgment when making requests, and BE PATIENT. It can take several months for a single to make headway on the radio, and the Rock format can be especially slow to adopt new music. If you are curious about how the singles are doing, please visit the DCO Charts and Numbers Thread, where radio airplay, sales, and other info is tracked and discussed in detail on a daily basis.

WZID 95.7 Manchester, NH - AC - CBTM, TOML
WPLM 99.1 Plymouth, MA - AC - CBTM, LO, TOML
WBNW 106.5 Ledyard, CT - AC - CBTM, LO, TOML
WXLO 104.5 Worcester, MA - HAC - CBTM, LO, TOML
WSRS 96.1 Worchester, MA - AC - CMTM, TOML.

WAIC 91.9 Springfield, MA - AC - CBTM, LO, TOML
WMAS 94.7 Springfield, MA - AC - CBTM, TOML
Here's a couple AC stations that do not have CBTM on their request form, but that I think could start playing it regularly if they get requests:
WWLI 105.1 Providence, RI - AC - TOML.
WMJX 106.7 Boston, MA - AC - LO, TOML
Also, available for request through Radio Disney, is:
WDDZ-AM 550.0 AM Pawtucket, RI - Disney - plays: CBTM, LO, TOML

EDITED: A couple days after this post, WBMX went back to using those call letters. They are now WBMX at 104.1 fm. The MediaBase form for WBMX is their playlist.
It is time for me to repost the Providence/Boston stations for 2 reasons:
1. The station that was WBMX - 98.5 - Boston HAC, is now WBCN - 104.1 - Boston HAC. It is apparently the same station - i.e. same programming, talent, etc, but they have moved to a better frequency. They are now operating under the call letters WBCN. So I have updated their information below. WBMX 98.5 is now a sports chat station.
2. KBFM, a Rhythmic Top 40 station in TX, played Bar-ba-sol once on Sat August 15th. I was not listening, so I do not know what was said about it. It was only one spin on 1 CHR station, but it does fuel my imagination that perhaps some of our non-rock stations might consider BBS. I am going to send in some BBS requests for WXKS, WPRO, and WBCN.
* WXKS - Kiss 108 - Boston, MA is a CHR/Top40 station that has never really played David Cook (just a couple spins of LO that I know of). They mostly play the rhythmic Top 40.
* WPRO - Providence, RI - CHR - loved LO and still plays it regularly and also still plays TOML. But they never picked up CBTM. Only played it once that I know of. It had not occurred to me before to request BBS.
* WBMX has shown themselves to be interested in playing songs others are not. For instance, they have been regularly playing Kris Allen's Heartless for many weeks. I do not know if they would play BBS, but it is worth at least a few requests IMHO.
WSNE 93.3 Providence, RI - HAC - CBTM, LO, TOML
WXLO 104.5 Worcester, MA - HAC - CBTM, LO, TOML
WBMX 104.1 Boston, MA - HAC - CBTM, LO, TOML
WTIC 96.5 Hartford, CT - HAC - CBTM, LO, TOML
WHYN 93.1 Springfield, MA - HAC - CBTM, LO, TOML
WPLM 99.1 Plymouth, MA - AC - CBTM, LO, TOML
WAIC 91.9 Springfield, MA - AC - CBTM, LO, TOML
WMAS 94.7 Springfield, MA - AC - CBTM, TOML
WSRS 96.1 Worchester, MA - AC - LO, TOML.
WWLI 105.1 Providence, RI - Lite Rock - TOML. They started playing LO withing the past couple of months and it seems to fall on and off their request list. They play it sometimes. They will probably play it if requested.
WZID 95.7 Manchester, NH - AC - LO, TOML
WPRO 92.3 Providence, RI - Top 40 - LO, TOML.
Also, available for request through Radio Disney, is:
WDDZ-AM 550.0 AM Pawtucket, RI - Disney - plays: CBTM, LO, TOML
If anyone know of any more that should be added to this list, please post!
