David Cook Answered Our Questions - http://www.seantm.blogspot.com/
I've been waiting all day for this - I'm a bit disappointed in some of the questions cause they've already been answered in previous interviews. I was so hoping he would answer my question and tell us what the song Anodyne is about. Bummer.

he answered my question! It of been "cookie cutter" but it sure made my day that he answered it!

Penny from Malone, NY: How does it make it you feel knowing that so many people find themselves emotionally connected to your music and consider it such an inspiration?
David Cook: To me, it's paramount. I don't know if this would work otherwise. I wanted to evoke emotions and give people a reason to get emotionally connected to the music. I'm immensely appreciative of that.

This should probably be on DWoP but I gotta say, he gets questions from all over the world and four of the six picked are from NY?

DCISMYFAV - I asked an Anodyne question, too. I can't wait until the "outside world" discovers it. Maybe then, we can get a few more details about how this beautiful song came about. Right now, all I know is that Neal wrote it and David's take on Anodyne makes it one the most haunting songs I've ever heard.
David said this is the only song he actually helped them (Neal/Andy) write. What a team those three make. Awesome.
He states it at :48-:50 in the Conway vid:

Just had to say that I was LOL at the comment the interviewer made in his blog that
David already knew about the fan questions since he had received a Google alert. Hey, he is getting the same David Cook Google alerts that we are getting!!! LOL

How many lives 'til another you (Anodyne)
*winces and apologizes to Cook_Crush and KissOnTheNeck08 for the "mediocre questions" crack*
Seriously -- it's having six questions in that style together as the only questions, not your individual questions in and of themselves.
I'm not sure the songwriting process question is going to have an interesting answer, though. It's legendary that when people ask writers how they get their ideas or write, they get back nonsense answers -- it's typical of the creative process that it doesn't pick apart into discrete elements very well. Despite the large amount of work... it usually kind of happens. (Would I mind being proven wrong on this one? Of course not.)
I asked the St. Patty's Day question. But, I also asked him to explain the song title, "Barbasol," but they didn't use that one.
Mine got answered! I would have put a funny question, but honestly.. I wanted to know what the most memeroable thing was that had happened so far during the tour...

I keep putting in questions about the songwriting process whenever these opportunities come up, but they do not ever use them.

Cookie Cutter Questions.... Cookie Cutter Responses. Been there done that
Yeah, that was a case of articulate answers to mediocre questions.
