1) Chris Daughtry already did an acoustic version. They have been pretty open about a) respecting each other and b) being different artists, so I don't think this would happen.
2) (And I thought this when CD did it) It's a song about a girl who is imagining being with another woman while actually...keeping company...with a man. Cook is a pretty enlightened guy, but I imagine that considering the flip side of that would give him pause.
Epic win.
He should toally do that.
