Did anyone else get lost in those green eyes of his??
Here my friends and I sat for four hours to meet DC in Kansas City Saturday afternoon. It was like 90 degrees outside (I am still peeling from my sunburn thank you very much) and we waited and waited for the buses to arrive. We made friends with the security guys and enjoyed the anticipation of the upcoming show.
The busses arrived and we all worked ourselves into a frenzy over who would come out and sign autographs. Kristy came out first, she signed our shirts and she told us that she and Archie went out late the night before looking for BBQ, then came Brooke - she was clipping right along signing shirts and telling people to be ready for pics if they wanted them. Then the Davids came out! DA started on our end and DC started at the other.
It seemed like it took HOURS for DC to come closer to our side. Just as he was about 30 people away from us he was told that he needed to hurry up and get through the rest of us. As he got closer to me I kept thinking of things I would say.....Well before I knew it he was in front of me. I had my shirt up and ready for him to sign - I took one look at him and every thought I previously had LEFT my head! His eyes took my breath away.........I couldnt speak - or think........I think I said sorry to him for being obviously absent....and thanked him for signing my shirt.......it wasnt until he was 5 people down the line that I realized that I didnt really say anything to him!! ARGGGGGGGG!
His eyes floored me!! They are gorgeous!!

That happened to me when he was on American Idol! I watched his audition and i was thinking, "That boy's got a great voice and great eyes..." I fell in love with him (and i still am!) Tee hee...

David must have hazel eyes, plus maybe he wears colored contacts sometimes? His eyes were a dark blue-green the first time I met him, and a lighter blue-gray-green color the second time I met him! They definitely weren't full blown green like some fans have seen.

SO true. when i met him about a month ago, as soon as he looked into my eyes i lost it.. didnt freak out or anything but my mind just went blank and i dont even remember what i said during that moment. then a couple hours later when i ran into the whole band at a restaurant he gave me a little wave looked right at me and i once again just couldnt even think.. (but i did manage to wave).. absolutely amazing his eyes are gorgeous

Those eyes are magnetic, aren't they? Just like David's voice that at times makes me feel like I am floating, his eyes - well, they just get me lost - they pull me in and time just escapes me! What's the saying, "The eyes are the windows to the soul?" Mesmerizing and full of emotion - couldn't be more true about our David. Simply beautiful...
Ya know what funny thing that just happened to me? Eariler, I was pouring my soymilk in my cup, and I realized afterwards that there was soymilk all over the counter...... because of getting lost in those magical eyes of his LOL

I understand David has (beautiful) hazel eyes with green flecks and that they change color depending on the light or what he is wearing. But, how is it that they look dark brown sometimes?
My son and little granddaughter have hazel eyes, they change all the time...
For the record, I don't get lost in his eyes, I get lost in ALL of him!

My daughter got called called up on stage by Cook says when she first looked(beamed) at his eyes they looked emerald green, Then she remembers them looking blue, and finally gray. She is in awe of his eyes and says they are magical. She has not stopped talking about it since Nov. 4th!
My daughter's eyes are like that. She has so many color flecks in her eyes that they appear to change color based on what she is wearing. I've noticed that about David's eyes too except he has predominanently green flecks where hers are predominantly blue. They both have really beautiful eyes.

I was wondering where he suddenly got green eyes, LOL. The great thing about hazel eyes is that they change depending upon the light. I have always found that interesting.

except that they're hazel. which does mean green(ish) most of the time. they are amazing eyes though.

Oh yea...totally normal. When he was in Pittsburgh, as soon as we saw him walking to us, everything went goo. Everything I had wanted to say to him, gone. He started talking to US and we were able to respond (though I dont remember how I could think without saying anything but 'Hi'). I'm sure that everyone feels the same, but I could get lost in those eyes for DAYS...*sigh*
I can totally understand that. I've not seen him really up close and personal, but I get lost in his eyes in pics. He has a way of not looking at the camera but looking through the camera right to me....yeah so I seriously doubt you are the only one.
I completely lost all sense of thought when he looked right into my eyes when I met him.

I always thought they were blue or green, but I leaned towards blue.
I never really figured out what colour they were actually.

Alas, he didn't come out at my stop so I never got the opportunity to get a look at those eyes in person but they sure do look pretty in all the pictures!
I am so happy for all of those who were fortunate enough to meet David. From all counts, he was as great as we all expected him to be. Don't feel badly about blanking-out. From what I have heard, that happened to a lot of fans! David himself has said that he was awe-struck when he was in the presence of celebrities that he admired!

You know......it haunts me....I still see the whole thing in slow motion....makes me crazy!! Anyway - I am usually very outgoing and articulate - but not once I looked at him - it was all over!

Ya' know, the first five words of this particular sentence gave me the wrong idea. For a second there, I thought you were flashing him! LOL!
I'm sure you weren't the only one whose mind went blank once you found yourself right next to him. It can be awfully tough to think on your feet when you've got someone like him standing right in front of you.
