One of my nephews told me last week about some new guy he works with who is jealous he (my nephew) was going to a David Cook concert. This other person was going to be away when David Cook was playing Foxwoods, and so could not go.

In the course of my conversation with my nephew, I found that this other person had some Axium CDs! It struck me that this is the first person in my Real Life that I have any connection to, who, through no efforts of my own, knew anything about David Cook's work prior to Idol. (To my nephew's credit, we was able to have a completely informed conversation with this individual about Axium, Analog Heart, and the current tour - but everything my nephew knows is through his association with me.)

So now I am curious. Does anyone here know ANYONE that they did not meet through being a fan of David Cook, who themselves found out about Axium or Analog Heart?
