Now that we have a couple of brand new David Cook singles on the horizon, I thought it would be a good idea to revive the online streaming movement that was so instrumental in helping turn 'Time of my Life' and 'Light On' into big hits. Don't just sit around just twiddling your thumbs and waiting for 'Come Back to Me' or 'Bar-ba-Sol' to get added to your local radio station playlist. Stream baby stream!
 
Online streams serve three important functions for David's singles:

• Streaming at AOL and Yahoo Music contributes to a single's placement on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
• Streaming signals an interest in the single to radio stations so they will add the song to their playlist.
• Streaming exposes a single to new listeners by bumping its placement on high-traffic websites.

 
Right now, CBTM and BBS do not appear to be available for streaming through any of the major radio conglomerates like Clear Channel. If and when they are, this thread will be updated with information about how to do that. I would recommend checking your local station websites just in case. If it is available, start streaming away!
 
In the meantime, 'Come Back to Me' (but not 'Bar-ba-Sol', yet) is available for streaming at AOL Music. Here are some tips for streaming at AOL:
 
1) I find AOL streaming to work more smoothly in Firefox or Safari than with Internet Explorer, so if you can use one of those browsers I would recommend it (click the links for free downloads, and just FYI - DCO works a lot better in both of these browsers as well).

2) Go to AOL Music, click the "Songs" tab, and search for 'Come Back to Me'. Or, even easier, CLICK HERE to go straight to the single.

3) Once you have found the single, repeatedly click the blue "play" button to the left of the song title. This will open a new window and add a bunch of consecutive tracks of the same song to your "now playing" queue.

4) Then just click the first track in the queue to start playing in a continuous stream. I usually create a queue with CBTM repeating 50-100 (or more) times. That way I can stream the single continuously either overnight or during the day while working on other things, with my speakers on mute.

5) If you want to throw a little love to 'Light On' or 'Time of My Life' too, just add 'em into your queue along with CBTM. If you really want to get hard-core, you can stream your queue in multiple windows simultaneously. Simply open one or more additional windows/tabs and copy the URL for your "now playing" queue into the address bar. I wouldn't recommend doing this unless you have the sound turned down, however. ☺

6) When I reach the end of the queue, I just click the first track in the list to start playing it over again at the beginning. As long as you keep your browser open, you can basically play the song hundreds of times in the course of a day or night, with only a few clicks.
