Hey everyone! I thought I'd create a discussion thread for each stop of the Declaration Tour in an effort to keep the boards organized and help everyone more easily find info related to each event (and have a record of everything in one place for anyone wanting to look back on these events sometime in future). The following is how these threads will work (subject to change):

If, for some reason, a thread isn't moved right away, it will be eventually.

Please post links to photos instead of embedding them and please disable graphic footers as this will make the thread easier to read (especially when live blogging). Regarding PRE-SHOW sound check and set list spoilers, please either PM me the info so that I may post it as hidden text in the first pinned reply or, alternatively, if I am not hosting or not here for whatever reason, then please post the spoilers to a blog and link that blog back to this thread in your reply.

Thanks Patti, that is my horrid voice in that video. I really did try to stay quiet while I was recording, but Barbasol is definitely my most fav song from the album. It reminds me alot more of his days from Axium.

Out of the four shows we have been to this one was too easy for video. Not even a single check at the door. I probably could have strolled in with an 8mm camcorder and no one would have noticed. I only had two times where I even saw security and that was for him to tell my wife to take a seat during 'We Cry' from The Script. and the other when someone was in the wrong seat.
I really must say though I am tired of getting the 10th row and beyond tickets where the crowd has no tendency to even enjoy themselves. From now on it is 5th row or better, or I will just stay home and enjoy everyone else's videos here.
During the song 'We Cry' from The Script, the security actually had the audacity to tell my wife to sit down because the people behind us could not see. Who the heck sits at a concert....especially one of Davids concert, not to mention this was right after Danny, said for everyone to stand up. Needless to say she only sat for about 2min before he told everyone to stand again. I am so hoping he comes back to Cains Ballroom again early in next years TOUR.

Yeah, we were just a bunch of video-takin' fools at Firelake, LOL! I don't know what those security dudes were talking about in Arizona when they said David didn't want video. Is that what their management told them? Argh. I'm still steamed about that, I had an unobstructed view and could have gotten the whole concert, it would have been amazing.
I still got pretty good video for Firelake, I was in the 3rd row. I spent some video time on everyone. I didn't get alot of Kyle since I was center and Kyle was right behind David most of the time, LOL.
It's show #138 or "Way Down upon the Shawnee Betting Table."
This may currently be my favorite Heroes for its combination of tenderness on the early verse and hard rocking on the chorus and later verses. That kind of integrated contrast is one of the qualities that I think puts the lie to the old "another one that sounds like Nickelback" claim -- a lot of bands can't or don't do that change-up within a single song. Same goes for Mr. S tonight, where it's even more dramatic because this one always goes further out on both vocal and guitar violence.
Bugsytoo is another videographer I like for his ability to capture Tiemann's guitar chops.
The couch! The couch is back! If I ever start stupidly counting something, it will be references to Tiemann's couch. That couch will make the Rock-and-Roll Hall of Fame before anyone's guitar does. (That's teasing, but it's because I like couch appearances.)
I see the drums have p*ssed off Peek again and he has to beat them into submission; this WOHWWS is another one that's bringing the sultry without losing a higher-than-usual level of guitar violence. If this is where this song is going, I like it a lot.
Best KOTN banter ever, re the awkward pause and reaction of the partners. I'd come thiiiiis close to doing a limerick for this show on the joys of alarming one's date by NOT screaming in response to the "who's in love?" question, so I guess the zeitgeist was going that way.
Oh my -- audiences are being trained to sing IDIFY. I like that.
I've already raved about Skib's handling of TIB, so let's move along...
What happens if one puts the CD on somewhere other than one's car or one's home? (Sorry, that's not fair teasing -- I just liked the phrasing.) Also like the "it'll sound roughly like this" -- as if anything live sounds like the CD. Declaration is actually one of the more similar songs, and it's extremely compelling in this version.
They'll cheer anything, period. Doesn't need "Oklahoma" in it. Someone next to the videographer fills the pause after "we've been on the road" with "forever."
The acoustic version of MITB from Canada trained me to listen for Skib's back-up vocals, but I tend to lose them in the harder-rock non-acoustic orchestration. This is one where I wonder if it sounds different live or if Skib couldn't stand to a boost to his mic occasionally, as he also seems on lead to sometimes be drowned out by orchestration that supports Cook's more dramatic voice. When it's audible on video, the interplay between Cook's and Skib's voices is one of the better effects of this song (so kick me for not mentioning Tiemann's guitar solo -- no, wait, I just mentioned it.)
That's a heck of a lot of practice, if we're only up to real tests this late in the show for BBS.
Marginally more raw than last night...
Yeah, how does one get through 138 shows without Elvis? Does this mean CBTM is weirdly powerful in getting people to come back from beyond the grave? If so, should it be federally regulated?
I see Cook's gone from kinda under-thanking to kinda makin' the point that he'll thank anything that moves and much that holds still. I'm laughing too hard to fully appreciate the song, so it's a good thing there's a long guitar lead-in before the verse, as this turns out to be a truly gorgeous rendition.
Notable of the Night: Straight Ahead, but it's getting so difficult to pull out a single song that I may have to drop this schtick.

Wow, this looks like it was an awesome show. Amazing how these guys keep knocking it out of the park after all these months. Terrific MitB, one of the best ever. And what a nice moment with Dave turning over the center stage to Andy for TIB. It so nice to see a band with heart and soul to go along with all the talent. Thanks to all who posted video.

Found one more little banter piece that I thought was cute...hope you like it. For those wanting to see the whole band, just wanted to note that, depending on where you are seated, you either are too close for a far away shot, or you are so far away that if you don't go close in all you will see is the backs of heads...not pretty. I certainly will keep that in mind for the Dallas & St Louis shows though, but as an avid videographer sometimes you take what you can get. Hope you enjoyed them anyway.
