Hey everyone! I thought I'd create a discussion thread for each stop of the Declaration Tour in an effort to keep the boards organized and help everyone more easily find info related to each event (and have a record of everything in one place for anyone wanting to look back on these events sometime in future). The following is how these threads will work (subject to change):

>> Thread moved to its respective regional Tour Talk forum
If, for some reason, a thread isn't moved right away, it will be eventually.
What should be posted here? Related local radio/tv/press, on-site reports/photos, live blogging, recaps, media and fan reviews, links to related blogs, event photos/videos, etc., etc.
Please post links to photos instead of embedding them and please disable graphic footers as this will make the thread easier to read (especially when live blogging). Regarding PRE-SHOW sound check and set list spoilers, please either PM me the info so that I may post it as hidden text in the first pinned reply or, alternatively, if I am not hosting or not here for whatever reason, then please post the spoilers to a blog and link that blog back to this thread in your reply.

It's show #149 or "I Wear Your Heart on My... Ouch! Not There! Don't Pull on There!"
Actually, it's about half of that show, as I already seem to have done the other half, and out of order, too. But having refreshed the palate by spending the early evening with music in an entirely different style, let's see what's here...
And the first two songs are MIA (no, not that MIA). So let's pretend we wandered in late...
Yeah, I think that crowd's having a good time. Nice plug there for GRO's Come On breaking the Top 20 on the Hot AC radio charts (MediaBase). Particularly growly version of IDIFY, which works (though of course, what doesn't?). This crowd is great. They do yell at the lift of an eyebrow.
Whoa. Did Cook just manage to stop the screaming during the a cappella part of Lie by sheer force of personality? I'd swear it happened that way and was damned impressive. I don't expect it to work with every crowd, but... impressive. He's got the intensity way up tonight; this is a chills-down-the-spine version of Lie, way beyond the usual pretty and positively wrenching on the final chorus. I'm resisting the urge to put together an "ideal" set of concert mp3s as a single compilation just because there's so much music out there and so few hours in the day, but performances like that increase the temptation. (It'll probably end up being half a dozen or so of the truly breathtaking Cook performances on a compilation CD with other artists, as his best ought to be able to stand up to whatever else I feel like throwing in there.)
This is an extraordinarily intense concert. I found myself typing that for Souvenir and KOTN consecutively, so I think I'll just say it once. It's too bad this one wasn't videotaped professionally, as it'd make quite the DVD in itself. (Yes, I know the decision from the label was that there wasn't a market. It's a compliment rather than an expression of frustration.)
And indeed, here's Danny Grady from Injected. Did that band have a weird following in Tulsa? Cook's not the only one from there to have done covers of their work. (And I believe carolofbells22's opinion that this was the loudest BBS ever.)
Impressive crowd sing-along for CBTM, too. This was a fantastic audience. If audiences realized the extent to which their enthusiasm feeds performers, they'd all be this good.

I seem to be doing this show in bits and pieces... had to check out the legendary LO sing-along... and got the Injected singer's banter, which was a hoot.
This LO wasn't just grungy; it was powerful and edgy. Oh. My. Word. That was the ultimate LO sing-along. That was incredible. That beat every other time, including the crowd of 40k in the Philippines. There's an instant when I'd swear the expression crossing Cook's face includes surprise as well as delight at the sheer wall of sound. I had to play it a second time because my clapping and little squeaking noises kind of interfered with hearing all of the first time.
I don't ordinarily collect concert mp3s, mostly because I usually listen to music on the computer so Youtube's just as easy... but if anyone mp3s that LO, I want it. That's one of those Moments that may well be duplicated many times a few years of fame down the road, but the first time for something that impressive has its own value.

Thank you Hildy, Mitziblum and everyone.. My heart was pounding so loud I realized I had to tape, if I wanted to hear what he said. They did put on a beautiful, high energy show..David misses nothing from the crowd and they loved him back, very well. Light on is always extra special and the response tonight was fantastic!! Banter at this show and the joy from David and mates was extremely touching. I will miss them terribly the next months. They have become greatly important, in my daily happiness. I wish them great happiness and success.

My tour recap is posted on the DWoP 4.0 thread here on DCO because that is my home. Thought some of you great fans that I met yesterday in Atlanta at Tabernacle would enjoy.
The recap was posted this morning. It includes some observations about David's getting down off stage and coming out to his fans.
Dave definitely leaned into us all. I believe he connects and doesn't feel like we are a threat. Being right there as I was with my husband would help folks farther back or casual video observers understand the joy and gentleness felt by the fans during this fan encounter with Dave during "Declaration" last night.
Also look for my posting on DWoP this morning of "Make Believe" video from the Tabernacle which I believe someone here found on DWoP or Utubey. It is the ThePieGuy's first David Cook video; and he is muchly proud! The guitar action with Neal and Andy and then David and Andy is awesome!

Wow! This was an amazing show! High energy! Atlanta REALLY showed the love! That was the best LO sing-a-long EVER! I had to watch the Declaration vid twice. I'm so freaking jealous of those fans with David right there amongst them! It's incredible how he can keep singing with all those hands on him. Several things really struck me while watching these vids: David looks and sounds more gorgeous than ever, most bands look near comatose in comparison, David & The Anthemic are perfection!
